Petra el Bretón fue encontrada junto con su pequeño amigo inseparable Chilifox en las calles, sola. Petra tiene un microchip registrado a un cazador, pero el dueño registrado no ha respondido ni venido a buscarla, por lo tanto esperamos que Petra pueda encontrar una nueva casa, lejos del estilo de vida de los cazadores españoles. Tiene un carácter increíblemente dulce y amable, una chica muy tierna y cariñosa. Aunque es bastante pequeña en tamaño, es en general una típica perra Bretón amorosa: cuando está en la naturaleza, siempre olfateando, siguiendo rastros, buscando la próxima aventura: definitivamente una candidata para usar un localizador GPS. Cuando está con humanos, siempre busca cercanía, atención, amor y caricias, así que si te sientas, probablemente encontrarás su trasero empujándote para que le rasques o Petra respirando directamente en tu cara, porque el espacio personal no existe para ella. También le encanta poner sus patas en tus caderas cuando estás de pie y mantenerse en contacto contigo. Petra es muy social y amigable con otros perros, es una excelente perra guía para perros asustados o nerviosos. Aunque podría ser el único perro de una familia, idealmente está buscando una casa donde pueda continuar teniendo contacto social muy regular con otros perros. Por sus caracteres cariñosos, suaves y amables, los Bretones normalmente hacen excelentes perros para dueños primerizos, pero en caso de que sus humanos para siempre no hayan tenido perros antes, definitivamente deberían educarse previamente sobre la raza y su deseo de trabajo con la nariz, búsqueda y la necesidad de actividad física, especialmente cuando son más jóvenes y sanos. Con su sentido de aventura, también son perros que pueden salir fácilmente de espacios cerrados, por lo tanto una casa con un jardín muy seguro sería ideal para Petra. Normalmente también son buenos perros de familia, cuando hay niños en la familia, por su naturaleza amable hacia los humanos. Parece ser una perra muy equilibrada y probablemente se sentiría segura también en un entorno un poco más concurrido, como un barrio residencial, con mucho acceso a la naturaleza por supuesto. Petra the Breton was found together with her little sidekick friend Chilifox, on the streets, alone. Petra has a microchip that is registrated to a hunter, but the registrated owner has not responded or come looking for her, so we are hoping that Petra can find a new home, away from the Spanish hunters way of life. She has an incredibly sweet and kind character, such a soft smoocher girl. Even though she is quite small in size, she is otherwise a typical loving Breton girl - when in the nature, always sniffing, picking up trails, looking for the next adventure - definitely a candidate for wearing a GPS tracker. When together with humans, she is always looking for closeness, for attention, love and cuddles, so if you sit down, you will either find her butt pushing you for scratches, or Petra breathing directly into you face, because personal space does not exist for her! She also loves to put her paws on your hips when your standing, and stay in contact with you. Petra is so social and friendly with other dogs, she is a wonderful lead dog for scared or nervous dogs. Even though she could potentially be an only dog of a family, then ideally she is looking for a home where she could continue to have very regular social contact with other dogs. For their loving, soft, kind characters, Bretons would normally make great dogs for first-time dog owners, but in case her forever humans have not had dogs before, they should definitely educate themselves in advance on the breed, and it's desire for intentive nose-work, search-work, and the need for physical activity, especially when they are younger and healthy. With their sense of adventure, they are also dogs that can easily find their way out of enclosed spaces, so a home with a very secure garden would be ideal for Petra. They usually also make good family dogs, when there are children in the family, with their kind nature towards humans. She seems to be a very balanced dog, and would most likely feel confident also in a bit busier environment, like a suburban down, with a lot of access to nature of course. Her shoulder height is 42cm, and she arrived to us in good shape.
