Petra le Breton a été trouvée avec son petit ami compagnon Chilifox, dans les rues, seule. Petra a une puce électronique enregistrée à un chasseur, mais le propriétaire enregistré n'a pas répondu ou cherché à la retrouver, nous espérons donc que Petra puisse trouver une nouvelle maison, loin du mode de vie des chasseurs espagnols. Elle a un caractère incroyablement doux et gentil, une fille très tendre. Même si elle est assez petite, elle est autrement une Bretonne aimante typique - quand elle est en pleine nature, toujours à renifler, à suivre les traces, à chercher l'aventure suivante - certainement candidate à porter un GPS. Quand elle est avec les humains, elle cherche toujours proximité, attention, amour et câlin, donc si vous vous asseyez, vous la trouverez soit en vous poussant avec son derrière pour avoir des gratouilles, soit Petra respirant directement dans votre visage, car l'espace personnel n'existe pas pour elle ! Elle aime aussi poser ses pattes sur vos hanches lorsque vous êtes debout, et rester en contact avec vous. Petra est très sociable et amicale avec les autres chiens, elle est un excellent chien d'assistance pour les chiens craintifs ou nerveux. Même si elle pourrait potentiellement être le seul chien d'une famille, idéalement elle cherche une maison où elle pourra continuer à avoir un contact social régulier avec d'autres chiens. Pour leurs caractères affectueux, doux et gentils, les Bretons sont normalement de bons chiens pour les premiers propriétaires de chiens, mais si ses futurs maîtres n'ont jamais eu de chien auparavant, ils devraient absolument se former à l'avance sur la race, et son désir de travail de recherche, de travail d'odeur, et le besoin d'activité physique, surtout lorsqu'ils sont jeunes et en bonne santé. Avec leur sens de l'aventure, ils peuvent également facilement trouver le chemin pour sortir des espaces clos, donc une maison avec un jardin très sécurisé serait idéal pour Petra. Ils font généralement de bons chiens de famille, lorsqu'il y a des enfants dans la famille, grâce à leur nature bienveillante envers les humains. Elle semble être un chien très équilibré, et serait probablement confiant également dans un environnement un peu plus animé, comme un quartier résidentiel, bien sûr avec beaucoup d'accès à la nature. Sa hauteur au garrot est de 42 cm, et elle est arrivée chez nous en bonne santé.

Petra the Breton was found together with her little sidekick friend Chilifox, on the streets, alone. Petra has a microchip that is registrated to a hunter, but the registrated owner has not responded or come looking for her, so we are hoping that Petra can find a new home, away from the Spanish hunters way of life. She has an incredibly sweet and kind character, such a soft smoocher girl. Even though she is quite small in size, she is otherwise a typical loving Breton girl - when in the nature, always sniffing, picking up trails, looking for the next adventure - definitely a candidate for wearing a GPS tracker. When together with humans, she is always looking for closeness, for attention, love and cuddles, so if you sit down, you will either find her butt pushing you for scratches, or Petra breathing directly into you face, because personal space does not exist for her! She also loves to put her paws on your hips when your standing, and stay in contact with you. Petra is so social and friendly with other dogs, she is a wonderful lead dog for scared or nervous dogs. Even though she could potentially be an only dog of a family, then ideally she is looking for a home where she could continue to have very regular social contact with other dogs. For their loving, soft, kind characters, Bretons would normally make great dogs for first-time dog owners, but in case her forever humans have not had dogs before, they should definitely educate themselves in advance on the breed, and it's desire for intentive nose-work, search-work, and the need for physical activity, especially when they are younger and healthy. With their sense of adventure, they are also dogs that can easily find their way out of enclosed spaces, so a home with a very secure garden would be ideal for Petra. They usually also make good family dogs, when there are children in the family, with their kind nature towards humans. She seems to be a very balanced dog, and would most likely feel confident also in a bit busier environment, like a suburban down, with a lot of access to nature of course. Her shoulder height is 42cm, and she arrived to us in good shape.
