Rafaella is a lovely and beautiful Podenco in need of a forever home in the Netherlands since May 7, 2025. Rafaella is calm and easygoing indoors but needs plenty of exercise. She enjoys walks in the woods and is very alert, noticing every movement of a fly or bird. Rafaella has a strong hunting instinct and cannot be placed with cats. She will get along with another stable dog, but she needs a lot of exercise and stimulation, so a garden is essential. The garden must be fully and sufficiently fenced. Rafaella can be visited in Steenwijk. Update: April 16, 2025, a volunteer shares: We took Rafaella on a walk, away from the shelter. We got to know this beautiful tricolor dog as a medium-sized dog that does not pull on the leash, seeks support while walking, and is still getting used to unexpected situations. She gets along well with other dogs and showed interest in a class with older children on the walk. Who wants to give this modest cuddly girl a forever home? Where is her golden bed? Original text: Rafaella was rescued by a man from a death station. His name was Rafael, hence her name. She is a beautiful dog to look at, a somewhat uncertain dog at first, but once you get to know her, she reveals herself as a loving and loyal companion. She is social and affectionate with other dogs, calm and patient, not pushy. Rafaella has a strong aversion to the shelter, where she longs for that one owner who will bring her happiness and vice versa. Who can give this sweetheart a heaven on earth?
