Rover llegó al refugio asustado y desconfiado, tanto por el entorno como por la presencia de personas desconocidas. Con el tiempo, ha comenzado a abrirse lentamente y a mostrar su verdadera personalidad, acercándose a nosotros para buscar afecto y atención. Una vez que forma un vínculo contigo, disfruta quedarse cerca y ahora es más rápido y más rápido en confiar en los voluntarios, relajándose alrededor de diferentes personas en nuestras áreas de voluntariado, saludando a los niños. Rover camina bien con correa, aunque es un perro fuerte y puede reaccionar cuando otros perros se acerquen demasiado de manera poderosa o amenazante, por lo tanto es importante mantener un buen control y continuar con paseos de socialización con otros perros en un entorno positivo. Con dedicación, entrenamiento y un fuerte vínculo, esto mejorará enormemente, porque es realmente un buen chico. Nuestros voluntarios a largo plazo dicen que es uno de los perros más obedientes y agradables de pasear en el refugio, y se conecta con usted rápidamente y escucha muy bien sus indicaciones. Sigue una rutina de obediencia en las horas de comida que debe mantenerse para apoyar su entrenamiento. Estamos buscando una familia responsable para Rover, con experiencia o conocimiento de esta raza, su carácter y comportamiento. Idealmente, debe ir a un hogar tranquilo, alejado del ruido de la ciudad, donde pueda disfrutar de paseos tranquilos en la naturaleza. Es esencial que su futura familia le dedique el tiempo y la dedicación que necesita para formar un vínculo, y que estén comprometidos a continuar su entrenamiento para que aprenda a comportarse adecuadamente y gane confianza, ya que a veces puede ser inseguro. En su anterior hogar, Rover no convivía con otros perros y tenía muy poca interacción con ellos. Debido a esto, estamos buscando un hogar donde pueda ser el único perro, a menos que la familia viva aquí en España/Marbella localmente, para que podamos realizar paseos de socialización con los otros perros de la familia, y presentar lentamente y de forma positiva a los perros entre sí. Las reuniones pueden tener lugar en los parques del refugio o en la naturaleza, por ejemplo. Rover requiere una licencia PPP para adopciones en España, sin embargo también está disponible para adopciones internacionales.

Rover arrived at the shelter scared and distrustful, both due to the environment and the presence of unfamiliar people. Over time, he has slowly started to open up and reveal his true personality, approaching us to seek affection and attention. Once he forms a bond with you, he enjoys staying close and he is faster and faster in trusting volunteers now, relaxing around different people in our volunteer areas, saying hello to children. Rover walks well on a leash, although he is a strong dog and may react when other dogs come too close in a too powerful or threatening way, so it's important to keep good control and continue with socialisation walks with other dogs in a positive environment. With dedication, training, and a strong bond, this will greatly improve, because he is a really good boy. Our long-term volunteers all say that he is one of the most obedient, pleasant to walk dogs in the shelter, and he builds a connection with you very quickly and listens very well to your guidelines. He follows a mealtime obedience routine that should be maintained to support his training. We are looking for a responsible family for Rover, with experience or knowledge of this breed, its character, and behavior. Ideally, he should go to a calm home, away from the noise of the city, where he can enjoy peaceful walks in nature. It's essential that his future family gives him the time and dedication he needs to form a bond, and that they are committed to continuing his training so he can learn to behave appropriately and gain confidence, as he can sometimes be insecure. In his previous home, Rover did not live with other dogs and had very little interaction with them. Because of this, we are looking for a home where he can be the only dog unless the family is living here in Spain/Marbella locally, so we can carry out socialisation walks with the family's other dogs, and slowly and positively introduce the dogs to each other. Meetings can take place in the shelter's parks or in the nature for example. Rover requires a PPP license for adoptions in Spain, however he is also available for international adoptions.
