Telis es un joven pastor de buen carácter que quiere descubrir todo. Qué se siente estar tumbado en la hierba fresca. Qué se siente ser acariciado. Qué se siente dar paseos sin luchar por sobrevivir. Qué se siente confiar en una persona y, en lugar de ser rechazado, ser recibido en sus brazos. Todo esto y mucho más de una vida que finalmente puede ser libre y alegre. Telis llegó a nuestro refugio desde el canil municipal de Krestena y parecía listo para dejarlo todo atrás y empezar de nuevo. Cuando le pusimos por primera vez una correa, no dudó ni un momento. La aceptó, nos miró y seguramente pensó que era su oportunidad. O al menos así lo sentimos cuando lo llevamos a su primer paseo. Con él, el tiempo pasa agradable y ligeramente. Tiene la curiosidad de olfatear todo, pero sin insistir cuando le dices "Vamos, ya es hora de irnos". Tiene la entusiasmo de correr hacia tus brazos, pero sin volverse exigente. Te sientas y él aprovecha para apoyarse en ti, depositando su peso en ti y mirándote con esos grandes ojos, como diciendo: "Perfecto. Sigue acariciándome". Telis parece saber cómo disfrutar de la vida y tiene la rara habilidad de enseñarle lo mismo a su dueño. Todo lo que necesita es una oportunidad para mostrar su personalidad. Estamos seguros de que en una familia, en una casa propia, revelará aún más regalos que aún esperan a ser descubiertos.

Telis is a good natured young shepherd boy who wants to discover everything. What it is like to lie on your back in fresh grass. What it is like to be petted. What it is like to go for walks without struggling for your survival. What it is like to rely on a human and, instead of being pushed away, to be welcomed into their arms. All this and so much more from a life that can finally be carefree and joyful. Telis arrived at our shelter from the municipal kennel of Krestena and seemed ready to leave everything behind and start over. When we first put a harness on him, he did not hesitate for a moment. He accepted it, looked at us, and surely thought this was his chance. Or at least that is what we felt when we took him for his first walk. With him, time passes pleasantly and lightly. He has the curiosity to sniff everything, but without insisting when you say “Come on, let’s go now.” He has the enthusiasm to run into your arms, but without becoming demanding. You sit down, and he takes the opportunity to lean against you, resting his weight on you and looking at you with those big eyes, as if to say, “Perfect. Now keep petting me.” Telis seems to know how to enjoy life and has the rare ability to teach the same to his person. All he needs is a chance to show his character. We are certain that in a family, in a home of his own, he will reveal even more gifts that are still waiting to be discovered.
