Autumn es una perrita muy dulce y juguetona que está lista para un nuevo comienzo. Es una perrita de 5 meses que llegó a nosotros desde otro centro de rescate. Autumn tiene mucho amor para dar y adora a las personas. Le encantan los premios, lo cual ciertamente ayuda con su entrenamiento y le gusta hacer entrenamiento básico con un clicker. Amber está aprendiendo los fundamentos (sentado, acostado, bajado, etc.). Debido a ser una perrita en jaula, puede volverse muy emocionada al ver a la gente o jugar con ella, y trata de morder. Afortunadamente, le encantan los premios de carne congelada y trapos blandos congelados, lo cual realmente ayuda a calmarla en estas situaciones. También le encanta jugar con juguetes, lo cual es perfecto para redirigir su energía. Le gusta especialmente jugar con juguetes que hacen ruido, ya que puede jugar con ellos sola, pero también disfruta jugar contigo con cualquier tipo de juguete. Creemos que le encantaría formar parte de una familia con niños mayores de 12 años. Tiende a saltar y puede ser bastante excesiva si se emociona demasiado al abrazarla en el sofá. Estamos trabajando con ella en esto y ha estado mejorando en no saltar y en hacer otras cosas que le resulten más recompensadoras. Es una perrita bastante extrovertida y se sale de su zona de confort, especialmente en caminatas y al entrar en nuevas áreas. Al conocer a nuevas personas, puede estar muy emocionada, pero otras veces es bastante nerviosa. Prefiere acercarse a las personas en lugar de que ellas se acerquen a ella, y no quiere que la acaricien en la cabeza. Además, ha mostrado algunos comportamientos de sumisión con algunos empleados y veterinarios, lo cual los adoptantes deberán reconocer y poder darle espacio cuando ocurra. Le beneficiaría asistir a clases de entrenamiento para cachorros y prosperaría en clases pequeñas. Se emociona mucho al ver a otros perros en las caminatas (tira del lazo, llora y quiere ir a saludar), por lo tanto probablemente apreciaría un amigo canino. Autumn is a very sweet bouncy puppy that is ready for her new fresh start. She is a 5 month old puppy who came into us from another Rescue centre. Autumn has a lot of love to give and adores people. She loves treats which certainly helps with her training and she is fond of doing basic training with a clicker. Autumn is learning the basics (sit, down, off etc). Due to being a puppy in kennels, she can get very overexcited when seeing people or playing with them and she does attempt to mouth. Thankfully, she loves frozen meat treats and frozen soft rags which really helps with calming her down in these circumstances. She also loves playing with toys which is perfect to help her redirect her energy onto. She particularly enjoys playing with squeaky toys as she can play with those by herself, but also enjoys playing with you too with any type of toy. We think she will love to be part of a family with children aged 12+. She does tend to jump up and can be quite over exuberant if overexcited when cuddling her on the sofa! We are working with her with this and she’s been doing better at not jumping up and instead doing other things that are more rewarding to her. She is quite an outgoing puppy and puts herself out of her comfort zone, especially on walks and when going into new areas. When meeting new people, she can be very excited but other times quite nervous. She prefers to go over to people instead of them coming over to her, and not to be stroked over the head. Also, she has shown some appeasement behaviours with some staff and vets, which adopters will need to recognise and be able to give her space when this happens. She would benefit from puppy training classes, and would thrive in smaller classes. She gets very excited upon seeing other dogs on walks (pully on the lead, whining and wanting to go and say hello) so would probably appreciate a doggy friend. She would appreciate a home where someone is around most of the day to help meet her puppy needs. She tends to settle and play in her kennel when left alone, but if left alone too long she starts to whine and bark. She will need help increasing her ‘left alone’ time. Overall, Autumn is a healthy, happy medium sized pup with a lot of potential for the right home.
