Soy Carrie. Y estoy agradecida con SOS Animal por salvarme en el último momento. Porque donde estaba, casi morí. Después de que me rescataran con suerte, finalmente tuve el valor para enfrentar la vida de nuevo. Hasta que fui diagnosticada con leucemia. Otra vez, tuve miedo de que ya no fuera querida. Tanta ansiedad en mi corta vida - aunque tengo solo 1 año. Pero las cosas salieron diferentes. Porque la gente continuó cuidándome en el refugio. Como resultado, mis niveles de leucemia son excepcionalmente buenos hasta hoy. Tan buenos, de hecho, que no tengo ninguna discapacidad en absoluto. Excepto por el hecho conocido de que viviré una vida mucho más corta que los gatos sanos. Lamentablemente, esta noticia extremadamente positiva fue inmediatamente seguida por muy malas noticias. He contraído el virus FIP. Y eso es exactamente con lo que estoy lidiando ahora mismo. Desde entonces, me he sentido muy mal, pero ahora estoy en casa con una madre de acogida que se ocupa de mí. Es cómodo y cálido, recibo mis pastillas y comida buena cada dos horas, lo cual no me gustaba al principio y escupía todo. Ahora me siento mucho mejor y finalmente disfruto de la comida sabrosa otra vez. He ganado algo de peso. Quiero tanto vivir. El tratamiento contra el FIP ha estado en pleno desarrollo durante varias semanas. Sin embargo, toma un total de 2 x 84 días. Como necesito descanso absoluto, atención y, sobre todo, amor durante la primera fase (y también en la segunda fase, que dura otros 84 días), ahora busco urgentemente un hogar de acogida o un hogar para siempre. Un lugar donde puedo recuperarme del virus y de las experiencias estresantes de los últimos meses. Me encantaría sentarme al sol una vez más en mi vida (pero no realmente afuera, solo en un balcón) y sentir los cálidos rayos del sol en mi pelaje. I’m Carrie! And I am grateful to SOS Animal for saving my life just in the nick of time. Because where I was, I almost died😟. After I was luckily rescued, I finally had the courage to face life again. Until I was diagnosed with leukaemia. Once again, I was afraid that I was no longer wanted 😢. So much fear in my short life – even though I’m only 1 year old. But things turned out differently. Because people continued to take care of me at the shelter. As a result, my leukaemia levels are unusually good to this day. So good, in fact, that I have no impairments whatsoever. Except for the well-known fact that I will live a much shorter life than healthy cats 😟. Unfortunately, this extremely positive news was immediately followed by very bad news. I have contracted the FIP virus. And that is exactly what I am struggling with right now. Since then, I’ve been feeling really bad 🤮 but now I’m at home with a foster mum who takes care of me. It’s nice and warm, I get my tablets and good food every two hours, which I didn’t like at first and spat everything out. Now I’m feeling much better and I finally enjoy the tasty food again. I’ve even gained some weight 🙂. I want sooo much to live! The FIP treatment has been in full swing for several weeks. However, it takes a total of 2 x 84 days. Since I need absolute rest, attention and, above all, love during the first phase (and also in the second phase, which lasts another 84 days), I am now urgently looking for a foster home or a forever home. A place where I can recover from the virus and the stressful experiences of the last few months. I would love to sit in the sun once more in my life (but not really outside, just on a balcony) and feel the warm rays of sunshine on my fur.
