Actualización 28.2.2026: Ahora están en el refugio. Erato tiene unos 4 años y es saludable. Están seguras y bajo nuestro cuidado. Qué animales tan hermosos. Están felices de estar juntas. Aunque sus vidas se han visto revueltas, estamos haciendo todo lo posible por volver a colocarlas correctamente. Hasta ahora, todo bien. Erato es la mamá (izquierda), Lyra es la niña pequeña (aunque ella es del mismo tamaño que su mamá, derecha). Después de un tiempo para relajarse, las pondremos en adopción. Por el momento, las estamos mimando con mucha atención y permitiéndoles tiempo para acostumbrarse a nuestro espacio. Su historia: Si has estado en el Antiguo Puerto en Quania, has visto a Erato y a su bebé. Viven en un barco. Bien, vivían en un barco con su dueño. Su dueño ha enfermado, ha sido hospitalizado y ya no puede cuidarlas. La policía portuaria pidió al municipio que las sacaran del barco. La policía portuaria había tratado de comunicarse conmigo hace unos días, pero no había tenido tiempo de responderles. Hoy en la veterinaria, aunque no está acostumbrada a hacerlo, mi veterinaria me pidió ayuda porque no podía ver a este animal "liberado" a la calle. Fue entonces cuando me llevó donde estaba Erato en su jaula y la reconocí inmediatamente. ¡Iban a liberarla a la calle? ¡Este animal siempre había tenido dueño! Así que acepté llevarla y a su bebé (que está en el barco mientras escribo) mañana. Bienvenida Erato, espero que el refugio sea temporal. Con tu belleza, probablemente lo sea. Se estima que Erato tiene cuatro años. Hoy fue esterilizada y revisada clínicamente por la veterinaria. Es negativa a leishmaniosis y está saludable.

For the meanwhile we are pampering them with loads of attention and allowing them time to get used to our space. That was when she took me to where Erato was in her cage and I immediately recognized her! She was to be released on to the street?This animal had always had an owner! Erato is estimated at four years old. Today she was neutered and clinically checked by the vet. She is leishmania negative and healthy.
