Adoptar a Pudding

La primera vez que vimos a Pudding fue un video de unos pocos segundos de él en un refugio de matanza en Rumanía. Era extremadamente ruidoso, extremadamente abarrotado y Pudding estaba desnutrido y con huesos visibles en la parte trasera de una pequeña jaula de madera junto a su amigo Coco, temblaba por completo de miedo, era absolutamente conmovedor. Lamentablemente, no teníamos espacio para tomar a Pudding inmediatamente, pero tan pronto como pudimos, lo llevamos directamente en un camión de transporte al Reino Unido. Pudding aún está muy delgado y muy temeroso. Se le da 4 comidas pequeñas al día mientras lo vamos fortaleciendo gradualmente y se le dará todo el tiempo que necesite para aprender a confiar en nosotros y, esperemos, finalmente sentirse seguro. El único consuelo de Pudding en la vida son otros perros. Son la única cosa en la que ha podido confiar y no tener miedo. Necesitará ser adoptado en un hogar con al menos otro perro, uno que sea amable, juguetón y que le muestre el camino en la vida. No podría manejar un hogar sin otro perro para el consuelo. Pudding es demasiado temeroso para poder ponerle un collar y una correa para poder probarlo con un gato, así que por ahora buscaremos un hogar para él sin un gato residente. Pudding aún está muy cerrado en el refugio y por eso no podemos obtener una lectura real de lo que creemos que serán sus niveles de energía. Como Pudding necesita ser adoptado en un hogar donde haya al menos otro perro, creemos que estaría bien dejarlo solo durante aproximadamente 4 horas. Pudding aún está absolutamente asustado y está muy lejos de comenzar el entrenamiento con la correa. Pudding no tiene ningún tipo de formación básica. Todo esto llegará con el tiempo una vez que se haya adaptado y haya aprendido a confiar plenamente en sus adoptantes.

The first we ever saw of Pudding was a few second long video of him in a kill shelter in Romania. It extremely loud, extremely overcrowded and Pudding was skin and bone pinned to the back of a small wooden kennel with his friend Coco, he was shaking with absolute fear, it was absolutely heartbreaking! Unfortunately, we had no space to take Pudding in straight away but as soon as we were able to, we got him straight onto a transport van to the UK. Pudding is still very skinny and very fearful. He's being fed 4 small meals a day whilst we slowly build him up and he'll be given all the time that he needs to learn to trust us and hopefully start to finally feel safe. Puddings only comfort in life is other dogs. They are the only thing that he's been able to rely on and not had to fear. He will need to be adopted into a home with at least one other dog, one that is kind, playful and will show him the way in life. He wouldn't cope in a home without another dog from comfort. Pudding is far too fearful of to be able to put a collar and lead on him to be able to safely cat test him so for the time being, we will be looking for a home for him without a resident cat in the home. Pudding is still very shut down at the kennels and so we're unable to get a true read of what we think his energy levels will be As Pudding will need to be adopted to a home where there is at least one other dog, we believe he'd be fine to be left for around a 4 hour period. Pudding is still absolutely terrified and so is a long way off from starting lead training Pudding has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once he has settled and learnt to fully trust his adopters
