Antes de entrar en nuestro cuidado, Sam y sus hermanos nunca habían salido de su casa y patio. Nunca habían salido al mundo exterior y como resultado, recibimos a 3 perritos muy asustados, ansiosos y no socializados en nuestra familia. 😔 Sam, Frank y Able encontraron nuevos hogares poco después de llegar, pero lamentablemente, después de un tiempo en su hogar, se dio cuenta de que las necesidades de Sam eran mucho mayores de lo que se esperaba inicialmente y ahora estamos tratando de encontrarle un hogar más adecuado a sus necesidades. Sam es un chico muy dulce. Puede ser nervioso con personas nuevas y puede ladrar a visitantes nuevos en la casa, pero pronto se acerca a las personas con mucho consuelo y golosinas y le encantan los abrazos y atenciones con personas de confianza y es muy cariñoso. 🥰 Le encanta jugar a buscar y correr en campos seguros y, como puedes ver, también es muy habilidoso llevando dos pelotas a la vez! Es inteligente y aprende cosas rápidamente y ahora está completamente entrenado para hacer sus necesidades en casa. 🙂 Sam tiene miedo de salir de la casa para pasear, pero con la ayuda de un entrenador ha estado haciendo buen progreso y ahora puede dar cortos paseos desde su casa y en el parque. Idealmente, Sam viviría en un área tranquila donde pueda disfrutar estar al aire libre. Puede ser desconfiado con otros perros desconocidos y ha sido reactivo con algunos, sin embargo, con la ayuda de un entrenador esto está mejorando y ahora ha dado algunos paseos con otros perros. El nuevo dueño necesitará sentirse seguro ayudando a Sam a seguir creciendo en confianza con otros perros y quien tenga el tiempo para trabajar en mejorar esto. Sam anteriormente vivió con un perro más pequeño y mayor, pero no fue una buena combinación y creemos que podría beneficiarse de ser el único perro en la casa. Sam anteriormente vivió con un niño de 9 años, ellos se llevaban bien, pero la tamaño y energía de Sam podían ser un poco demasiado y Sam tenía dificultades con el ruido/energía de un niño. Sería más adecuado para un hogar más tranquilo y silencioso sin niños pequeños. Creemos que Sam necesita un hogar experimentado y por lo tanto no aceptaremos solicitudes de familias que tengan niños pequeños.

Prior to coming into our care, Sam and his siblings had never left their house and yard. They had never stepped out into the big wide world and as a result, we welcomed 3 very scared, anxious and un-socialised puppies into our fold. 😔 Sam, Frank and Able all found new homes not too long after arriving but sadly, after some time in his home, it was realised that Sam's needs were much greater than initially anticipated and we are now trying to find Sam a home that is better suited to his needs. Sam is a very sweet boy. He can be nervous of new people and can bark at new visitors to the house, but he soon warms to people with lots of reassurance and treats and he loves cuddles and fusses with trusted people and is very affectionate. 🥰 He loves playing fetch and running around in secure fields and, as you can see, he is also highly skilled at carrying two balls at a time! He’s smart and learns things quickly and is now fully house trained. 🙂 Sam is nervous of leaving the house for a walk but with the help of a trainer has been making good progress and can now go on short walks from his house and at the park. Ideally, Sam would live in a quiet area where he can enjoy being outdoors. He can be wary of other unknown dogs and has been reactive to some, however, with the help of a trainer this is improving and he has now been on some walks with other dogs. The new owner will need to feel confident in helping Sam to continue to grow in confidence with other dogs and who has the time to spend working on improving this. Sam previously lived with a smaller, older dog but they weren't a good match and we feel he may benefit from being an only dog in the home. Sam previously lived with a 9 year old child – they got on well but Sam’s size and energy could be a bit much and Sam struggled with the noise/energy of a child. He would be better suited to a calmer, quieter home with no young children. We feel Sam needs an experienced home and therefore we won't be rehoming him to first time dog owners. We think that in the right home, Sam will have the opportunity to grow into a calm, more confident young chap. 💙 If you are an experienced home that has what Sam needs and can offer him his chance of a happy ever after then please get in touch with us on any day between 11am – 2pm 💕
