Avant d'être placé sous notre garde, Sam et ses frères et sœurs n'avaient jamais quitté leur maison et leur jardin. Ils n'avaient jamais mis les pieds dans le vaste monde extérieur et, en conséquence, nous avons accueilli 3 chiots très effrayés, anxieux et non socialisés. 😔 Sam, Frank et Able ont tous trouvé de nouveaux foyers peu de temps après leur arrivée, mais malheureusement, après un certain temps dans sa maison, il s'est avéré que les besoins de Sam étaient bien plus importants que prévu initialement et nous essayons maintenant de trouver à Sam un foyer plus adapté à ses besoins. Sam est un très gentil garçon. Il peut être timide face aux nouvelles personnes et aboyer lors de la venue de nouvelles personnes à la maison, mais il se réchauffe rapidement avec beaucoup de rassurance et de friandises, et il adore les câlinages et les attentions des personnes en qui il a confiance, il est très affectueux. 🥰 Il adore jouer au jeu du ballon et courir dans des champs sécurisés et, comme vous pouvez le voir, il est également très doué pour porter deux balles à la fois ! Il est intelligent et apprend vite et est désormais entièrement dressé. 🙂 Sam a peur de sortir faire une promenade mais avec l'aide d'un entraîneur, il fait de bons progrès et peut maintenant faire de courtes promenades devant chez lui et au parc. Idéalement, Sam vivrait dans une zone calme où il pourrait profiter de l'extérieur. Il peut être méfiant envers d'autres chiens inconnus et a été réactif envers certains, cependant, avec l'aide d'un entraîneur, cela s'améliore et il a déjà fait quelques promenades avec d'autres chiens. Le nouveau propriétaire devra se sentir confiant pour aider Sam à continuer à gagner en confiance avec les autres chiens et avoir le temps de travailler sur cet aspect. Sam a vécu précédemment avec un petit chien plus âgé, mais ils ne formaient pas un bon couple et nous pensons qu'il pourrait bénéficier d'être le seul chien dans la maison. Sam a vécu précédemment avec un enfant de 9 ans - ils s'entendaient bien mais la taille et l'énergie de Sam pouvaient être un peu trop pour l'enfant et Sam avait du mal avec le bruit et l'énergie d'un enfant. Il serait mieux adapté à un foyer plus calme et silencieux, sans jeunes enfants. Nous pensons que Sam a besoin d'un foyer expérimenté et par conséquent nous ne (Le texte est coupé car la phrase originale est incomplète.)

Prior to coming into our care, Sam and his siblings had never left their house and yard. They had never stepped out into the big wide world and as a result, we welcomed 3 very scared, anxious and un-socialised puppies into our fold. 😔 Sam, Frank and Able all found new homes not too long after arriving but sadly, after some time in his home, it was realised that Sam's needs were much greater than initially anticipated and we are now trying to find Sam a home that is better suited to his needs. Sam is a very sweet boy. He can be nervous of new people and can bark at new visitors to the house, but he soon warms to people with lots of reassurance and treats and he loves cuddles and fusses with trusted people and is very affectionate. 🥰 He loves playing fetch and running around in secure fields and, as you can see, he is also highly skilled at carrying two balls at a time! He’s smart and learns things quickly and is now fully house trained. 🙂 Sam is nervous of leaving the house for a walk but with the help of a trainer has been making good progress and can now go on short walks from his house and at the park. Ideally, Sam would live in a quiet area where he can enjoy being outdoors. He can be wary of other unknown dogs and has been reactive to some, however, with the help of a trainer this is improving and he has now been on some walks with other dogs. The new owner will need to feel confident in helping Sam to continue to grow in confidence with other dogs and who has the time to spend working on improving this. Sam previously lived with a smaller, older dog but they weren't a good match and we feel he may benefit from being an only dog in the home. Sam previously lived with a 9 year old child – they got on well but Sam’s size and energy could be a bit much and Sam struggled with the noise/energy of a child. He would be better suited to a calmer, quieter home with no young children. We feel Sam needs an experienced home and therefore we won't be rehoming him to first time dog owners. We think that in the right home, Sam will have the opportunity to grow into a calm, more confident young chap. 💙 If you are an experienced home that has what Sam needs and can offer him his chance of a happy ever after then please get in touch with us on any day between 11am – 2pm 💕
