Shadow ha tenido el comienzo más trágico. La encontraron en un campo cercano con mucho dolor y completamente asustada. Al inspeccionarla más a fondo parecía tener una pierna rota. Después de unos días de intentos, logramos que se calmara lo suficiente para atraparla, y fue inmediatamente llevada al veterinario. Después de radiografías se determinó que había sido disparada en su pierna delantera a corta distancia. Su hueso entero se había astillado y con la cantidad de bala en su pierna sabíamos que nada podía hacerse para salvarla y se tomó la decisión de amputarle la pierna.

Shadow has had the most heart-breaking start. She was found in a nearby field in a lot of pain and absolutely terrified. On further inspection she looked to have a broken leg. After a few days of trying, we managed to get her calm enough to catch, and she was immediately taken to the vets. After X-rays it was determined she has been shot in her front leg at close range. Her whole bone had shattered and with the amount of shot in her leg we knew nothing could be done to save it and the decision was made to amputate her leg.
