Shadow a eu le commencement le plus déchirant. Elle a été trouvée dans un champ proche, beaucoup de douleur et absolument terrifiée. Après une inspection plus approfondie, il semblait qu'elle ait une jambe cassée. Après quelques jours d'efforts, nous avons réussi à la calmer suffisamment pour la capturer, et elle a été immédiatement emmenée chez le vétérinaire. Après des radiographies, il a été déterminé qu'elle avait été touchée par une balle dans sa jambe avant. Tout le os avait été brisé et avec la quantité de plombs dans sa jambe, nous savions qu'il ne pouvait rien être fait pour la sauver et la décision a été prise d'amputer sa jambe.

Shadow has had the most heart-breaking start. She was found in a nearby field in a lot of pain and absolutely terrified. On further inspection she looked to have a broken leg. After a few days of trying, we managed to get her calm enough to catch, and she was immediately taken to the vets. After X-rays it was determined she has been shot in her front leg at close range. Her whole bone had shattered and with the amount of shot in her leg we knew nothing could be done to save it and the decision was made to amputate her leg.
