Donny on mukava poika, joka on tässä saavuttanut paljon edistystä ja olemme varmoja siitä, että hän ei kestä kauan enää ennen kuin hän avautuu ikuiseen kotiinsa! Olisi hyödyllistä, jos uusi perhe voi vierailtaa hänellä keskustassa useampaan otteeseen ennen kuin hänet lähetetään kotiin. Donny on hieno mies, joka tuli meihin hyvin vähän taustaa, joten hän etsii hiljaa ohjaavaa ja ymmärtävää kotia, joka auttaa häntä selviytymään kotielämästä. Ruoka on Donnin rakkauskieli! Hänen ruokahalunsa on suuri etu opettaessa hänelle esimerkiksi kasteleminen ja auttaessa häntä oppimaan selviytymään yksinäisyydestä. Hän on täynnä leikkiä ja pientä rikkoutta ja hänellä on paljon rakkautta antaa. Hänelle on opetettu kourun käyttö suopealla ja palkitsemalla tavalla, ja jatkuvat positiiviset viestit kotona auttavat häntä tuntemaan itsensä helpommin. Donnyn mukaan uusien ihmisten kohtaaminen voi olla pelottavaa, mutta ajan ja pitkäntahtoisuuden myötä hän tekee ystäviä. Hän etsii kotia ainoastaan aikuisille ja vähän vierailijoita. Kotoa olisi hyvä löytää turvallinen paikka, johon hän voi vetäytyä, jos hän tulee hermostumaan. Donny on todella sosiaalinen perhonen, kun kyseessä on koirapulmat. Hän on auttanut monia muita koiria sosiaalisissa taitojensa parantamisessa ja tuonut tukea levottomille asukkaillemme. Donny is a sweet boy who has already made so much progress here with us and we're sure with some time and patience it wont take him long to blossom in his forever home! It would be beneficial if his new family could visit him a few times here at the centre before he's ready to go home. Donny is a handsome lad who came to us with very little background, so he’s looking for a patient and understanding home that can gently guide him through the world of home life. Food is Donny’s love language! His foodie nature will be a great asset when it comes to teaching him things like housetraining and helping him learn how to cope with time alone. He's full of fun and mischief and has so much love to give. New experiences and people can be a little daunting for Donny, and he will need to wear a muzzle when out and about on his walkies to help keep him and everyone around him safe. He’s been introduced to muzzle training in a kind, reward-based way, and continued positive reinforcement in the home will really help him feel more comfortable. Donny can find meeting new people a scary experience, but with time and patience he soon makes friends. He's looking for a home with adults only and with minimal visitors. Ideally he would like a safe space in the home where he can retreat to when he may be feeling overwhelmed. Donny is a real social butterfly when it comes to making doggy pals. He's been helping lots of other dogs with their social skills and helping boost the confidence of our nervous residents. With his social nature we think he could happily share his new home with another dog. With time, patience, and plenty of treats, Donny has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
