Misty on kolmen koiran pentuistosta, jotka löydettiin kentillä yhdessä heidän jättäneensä äidin kanssa. Perheeseen kävi säännöllisesti eräs paikallinen nainen, joka ruokki heitä, kunnes äidille löydettiin koti. Silloin kolme pentua tuli Adoption Dogs Portugalin hoidettavaksi. Nykyisen koon ja äidin koon perusteella Misty pysyy pienellä koiralla, alle 10 kg:n painoisena. Aluksi pentut olivat erittäin pelokkaita ja pelottivat ihmisiä, ja heillä oli paljon kärpäsleipiä ja hiiluja, mutta he ovat kasvaneet hyvin huolella ja huomiolla. Perheen ainoa poika Monty on jo adoptoitu ja on tehnyt hyvin siirtymisen perhe-elämään. Misty on nyt hoitanut parasiitit (sisäiset/ulkoiset), hänellä on mikrochip ja hän on alkanut rokotusohjelman. Vaikka hän rakastaa leikkiä muiden koirien, mukaan lukien hänen sisarensa Marnie kanssa, hän on vielä melko pelokas ihmisten kanssa, ja siksi me etsimme hiljaiseen kotiin hänen kanssaan, jossa ihmiset antavat hänelle mahdollisuuden kehittyä oman tahansa mukaisesti. Misty is one of a litter of three puppies that were discovered living in the fields with their abandoned mother. The family was regularly visited and fed by a lady living locally until a home could be found for the mother. At that point, the three puppies came to Adoption Dogs Portugal. Based on her size now, and the size of her mother, she will remain a small dog of under 10kg once fully grown. At first, the puppies were extremely shy, scared of human contact and covered in ticks and fleas, but they have since thrived with care and attention. The only boy of the family, Monty, has already been adopted and has made a very successful transition to family life. Misty has now been treated for parasites (internal/external), microchipped and started her vaccination regime. While she loves playing with other dogs, including her sister Marnie, she remains quite shy with humans, and for that reason, we are seeking a quiet home for her, with people who will allow her to become more confident at her own pace. An older gentle dog in the Home, that likes to play would be a bonus for her. However, Misty is definitely curious about people who she recognises and will now take a treat from the hand of someone she trusts.
