Misty to jedno z trzech szczeniąt, które zostały znalezione w polu razem ze swoją opuszczoną matką. Rodzinę regularnie odwiedzała i karmiła kobieta living lokalnie, dopóki nie znaleziono dla matki domu. Wtedy trzy szczenięta trafiły do Adoption Dogs Portugal. Z uwagi na jej obecny rozmiar oraz rozmiar matki, Misty pozostanie małym psem o wadze poniżej 10 kg. Na początku szczenięta były bardzo skryte, bały się kontaktu z ludźmi i były pokryte kleszczami i pchłami, ale od tamtej pory dobrze rosną dzięki opiece i uwadze. Jedyne dziecko męskie w rodzinie, Monty, został już przyjęte do rodziny i świetnie zapewnił przejście do życia rodzinowego. Misty została leczona od pasożytów (wewnętrznych/zewnętrznych), zaopatrzona w mikrochip i rozpoczęła szczepienia. Chociaż lubi grać z innymi psami, w tym z siostrą Marnie, nadal jest trochę skryta wobec ludzi, a z tego powodu szukamy dla niej spokojnego domu, gdzie ludzie pozwolą jej być bardziej pewną siebie na swoim tempie. Starszy łagodny pies w domu, który lubi grać, byłby dodatkowo korzystny dla niej. Jednak Misty jest na pewno ciekawa ludzi, których zna i teraz bierze przekąskę z ręki osoby, której ufa.

Misty is one of a litter of three puppies that were discovered living in the fields with their abandoned mother. The family was regularly visited and fed by a lady living locally until a home could be found for the mother. At that point, the three puppies came to Adoption Dogs Portugal. Based on her size now, and the size of her mother, she will remain a small dog of under 10kg once fully grown. At first, the puppies were extremely shy, scared of human contact and covered in ticks and fleas, but they have since thrived with care and attention. The only boy of the family, Monty, has already been adopted and has made a very successful transition to family life. Misty has now been treated for parasites (internal/external), microchipped and started her vaccination regime. While she loves playing with other dogs, including her sister Marnie, she remains quite shy with humans, and for that reason, we are seeking a quiet home for her, with people who will allow her to become more confident at her own pace. An older gentle dog in the Home, that likes to play would be a bonus for her. However, Misty is definitely curious about people who she recognises and will now take a treat from the hand of someone she trusts.
