Kun leikkipaiva on loppu, Pepen pehmeä ja kouritseva puoli kirkastuu. Hän rakastaa tyynyjään ja houkuttelee niitä ympäriinsä orgiasiin ennen kuin hän asettuu mukavasti sulattelemaan. Hän on myös oikea ruokahimo — erityisesti squeezy-juustojen osalta — ja nauttii siitä, että näyttää miten älykäs hän voi olla. Hänellä on intohimo kävelyille, uusien näkymien ja hajujen tutkimiseen sekä aikaa muiden suosikkinähtävien kanssa. Pepe on pelkkä, väkivaipainen ja lämmöllinen poika, joka olisi iloinen löytää mukava koti, pitkäpalapuhelut ja pino pehmeitä leluja vain häntä varten. Pepe on viiden vuoden ikoinen kultakorvainen rassikko, joka täyttyy ilosta heti kun uusi lelu ilmestyy — koko kasvonsa valloittaa valo, kuin hän olisi juuri voittanut loton! Tämä kaunis poika tuli meille omasta toimestaan eikä mitään hänen syytään, ja hän on vaikuttanut kaikkiin, joita hän kohtaa. Pepe haluaisi olla ainoa lemmikkö rauhallisessa, aikuisista koostuvassa kotitalossa, jossa hän voi nauttia paljon tilaa rentoutua. Hän on iloinen matkalla seikkailuihin pienempien koirien kanssa, mutta jotkut tilanteet, kuten terveyskeskuksen matkat, voivat olla hänelle hieman ylikuormittavia. Auttaakseen häntä tuntemaan itsensä turvallisesti, Pepe käyttää mallikasta pieniä huulipesää ja on tehnyt erinomaisesti koulutuksessaan yhdessä parhaan ystävänsä Saren kanssa.

We don’t know anything about Pepe’s life before he became a Dogs Trust dog, but we know exactly what he likes now. Playtime and soft toys are up there, but when it comes down to it his first love is for food. He is gentle when taking food but will keep an eagle-eye out for any treat-bag raiding opportunities! Pepe enjoys trips out and travels well in the car. He’s definitely a back-seat kind of guy, and will also need a car ramp to get out. Once he’s settled in he should also be ok being left home alone for a couple of hours, and can then build on this. Pepe has been in kennels for a while now but we know with the right introduction to his new life he’ll melt someone’s heart and put a smile on their face. He does it every day here! Pepe is a 5yr old Lab cross who is heaps of fun to be around. Underneath his confident exterior there is a more nervous soul underneath. He can find new people a bit worrying, and especially struggles with meeting men. He can do it, it just takes more time and effort, and adopters will need to visit the centre regularly to build up this trust. Pepe is currently sharing his kennel with another dog. He doesn’t cope with bouncy dogs, but could live with a calmer dog as long as they get on well during meets in centre. Pepe does have some leg pain associated with a historic injury and is on pain medication to help manage this. For this reason he’s also looking for a home where it’s not essential that he uses stairs on a regular basis.
