Ele adora seus ursinhos e gosta de carregá-los orgulhosamente antes de se acomodar para um aconchegante abraço. Ele também é um verdadeiro amante da comida — especialmente quando se trata de queijo cremoso — e gosta de mostrar quão inteligente pode ser. Com seu amor por caminhadas, explorar novas coisas e cheiros, e passar tempo com suas pessoas favoritas, o Pepe é um menino divertido, travesso e carinhoso que ficaria muito feliz ao encontrar um lar aconchegante, humanos pacientes e uma pilha de brinquedos macios esperando por ele. O Pepe é um cruzado de cinco anos com coração dourado que transborda alegria no momento em que um novo brinquedo aparece — seu rosto todo se ilumina como se tivesse acabado de ganhar a loteria! Esse lindo menino chegou até nós sem culpa alguma e tem encantado todos os que conhece desde então. O Pepe adoraria ser o único animal de estimação em um lar tranquilo e somente para adultos, onde ele possa aproveitar muito espaço para relaxar. Ele gosta de sair em aventuras com alguns companheiros cães menores, mas algumas situações, como idas ao veterinário, podem parecer um pouco abrumadoras para ele. Para ajudá-lo a se sentir seguro, o Pepe usa sua elegante pequena coleira e tem se saído muito bem com seu treinamento junto com sua melhor amiga, a Sara.

We don’t know anything about Pepe’s life before he became a Dogs Trust dog, but we know exactly what he likes now. Playtime and soft toys are up there, but when it comes down to it his first love is for food. He is gentle when taking food but will keep an eagle-eye out for any treat-bag raiding opportunities! Pepe enjoys trips out and travels well in the car. He’s definitely a back-seat kind of guy, and will also need a car ramp to get out. Once he’s settled in he should also be ok being left home alone for a couple of hours, and can then build on this. Pepe has been in kennels for a while now but we know with the right introduction to his new life he’ll melt someone’s heart and put a smile on their face. He does it every day here! Pepe is a 5yr old Lab cross who is heaps of fun to be around. Underneath his confident exterior there is a more nervous soul underneath. He can find new people a bit worrying, and especially struggles with meeting men. He can do it, it just takes more time and effort, and adopters will need to visit the centre regularly to build up this trust. Pepe is currently sharing his kennel with another dog. He doesn’t cope with bouncy dogs, but could live with a calmer dog as long as they get on well during meets in centre. Pepe does have some leg pain associated with a historic injury and is on pain medication to help manage this. For this reason he’s also looking for a home where it’s not essential that he uses stairs on a regular basis.
