Quando il momento del gioco si placa, il lato morbido e tenero di Pepe risplende veramente. Adora i suoi peluchini e ama portarli orgogliosamente in giro prima di sistemarsi per un abbraccio caldo. È anche un vero amante della cucina - soprattutto quando si tratta di formaggio spremuto - e ama dimostrare quanto può essere sveglio. Con il suo amore per le passeggiate, per esplorare nuovi paesaggi e odori, e per trascorrere tempo con le sue persone preferite, Pepe è un ragazzo vivace, scherzoso e affettuoso che sarebbe estremamente felice di trovare una casa accogliente, persone pazienti e una pila di giocattoli morbidi pronti per lui. Pepe è un incrocio di cinque anni dal cuore dorato che è pieno di gioia non appena appare un nuovo gioco - il suo volto intero si illumina come se avesse appena vinto alla lotteria! Questo bellissimo ragazzo è arrivato da noi per nessuna colpa sua ed è riuscito a conquistare tutti quelli che ha incontrato da allora. Pepe vorrebbe essere l'unico animale domestico in una casa tranquilla senza bambini dove può godersi molto spazio per rilassarsi. È felice di uscire in avventure con alcuni compagni canini più piccoli, ma alcune situazioni, come le visite dal veterinario, possono sembrargli un po' sovraccariche. Per aiutarlo a sentirsi al sicuro, Pepe indossa il suo bel muso e sta facendo molto bene nel suo addestramento insieme al suo migliore amico, Sara.

We don’t know anything about Pepe’s life before he became a Dogs Trust dog, but we know exactly what he likes now. Playtime and soft toys are up there, but when it comes down to it his first love is for food. He is gentle when taking food but will keep an eagle-eye out for any treat-bag raiding opportunities! Pepe enjoys trips out and travels well in the car. He’s definitely a back-seat kind of guy, and will also need a car ramp to get out. Once he’s settled in he should also be ok being left home alone for a couple of hours, and can then build on this. Pepe has been in kennels for a while now but we know with the right introduction to his new life he’ll melt someone’s heart and put a smile on their face. He does it every day here! Pepe is a 5yr old Lab cross who is heaps of fun to be around. Underneath his confident exterior there is a more nervous soul underneath. He can find new people a bit worrying, and especially struggles with meeting men. He can do it, it just takes more time and effort, and adopters will need to visit the centre regularly to build up this trust. Pepe is currently sharing his kennel with another dog. He doesn’t cope with bouncy dogs, but could live with a calmer dog as long as they get on well during meets in centre. Pepe does have some leg pain associated with a historic injury and is on pain medication to help manage this. For this reason he’s also looking for a home where it’s not essential that he uses stairs on a regular basis.
