Arthur a été trouvé dans la rue à Marbella et apporté au refuge, mais son humain n'est plus jamais venu le récupérer... Son nom d'origine était Thor, que nous avons maintenant changé en Arthur pour un nouveau départ, car il ne réagissait pas à Thor de toute façon. Arthur est un beau jeune homme avec un pelage noir brillant. Il est plus petit que la moyenne pour un Amstaff, plus proche d'un Staffy avec son corps trapu mais petit et ses pattes courtes. Ses oreilles mènent leur propre vie, une repliée sur le côté, l'autre se balançant dans le vent. Au refuge, Arthur vit à côté de sa petite amie Madison, et ils font des promenades et des courses dans le parc ensemble. Étant un jeune homme, Arthur aime courir après son ami dans le parc et jouer un peu bruyamment, heureusement Madison lui permet ses farceureries. Pour sa maison définitive, Arthur aimerait vivre avec un chien femelle solide et éduqué, qui lui montrera les limites et le guidera vers l'âge adulte. Il pourrait également très bien être le seul chien d'une maison sans problème, cependant nous recommanderions alors certainement de participer à des promenades en groupe avec d'autres chiens, afin qu'il reste en contact avec d'autres chiens et qu'il devienne un petit boulet socialisé. Thor est très cool avec les humains et adore faire des promenades avec les bénévoles. Il marche sur la laisse énergiquement car il est motivé pour une promenade, mais nous devons garder à l'esprit qu'il s'agit d'un jeune chien qui n'a qu'une seule promenade courte par jour… Une fois qu'il entrera dans une vie quotidienne normale, il sera certainement plus calme sur la laisse. Arthur a passé la journée avec un bénévole, et il semble que jusqu'à présent il n'ait pas encore beaucoup expérimenté la "vie normale" avec les humains, c'est pourquoi Arthur recherche une maison facilegoing dans un quartier calme, un humain qui l'introduira lentement et patiemment au monde humain. Bien qu'il n'ait pas réagi aux bruits de la circulation ou aux voitures, les expériences rapides d'une vie en ville sont un peu trop pour lui pour l'instant, et une maison près de la nature serait bien plus souhaitable ! Il n'a pas beaucoup de goût pour les chats, donc une maison avec des chats n'est pas une option pour l'instant. Il est sociable et poli avec tous les humains, et il est aussi bon avec les enfants - une chose à garder à l'esprit est qu'en cas où une personne tient un friandis/une nourriture et ne le lui donne pas, il peut finir par sauter pour atteindre le snack, c'est quelque chose à garder à l'esprit concernant les enfants. La hauteur d'épaule d'Arthur est juste de 50 cm. Pour l'adoption en Espagne, une inscription PPP serait nécessaire, et le refuge peut vous aider avec cela. Arthur was found on the street in Marbella and brought to the shelter, but his human never came to pick him up anymore... His original name was Thor, which we now changed to Arthur for a fresher start, as he did not react on Thor anyway. Arthur is a beautiful teenage boy with a shiny black fur. He is on the smaller side of Amstaff, more direction Staffy with his chunky but small body and shorter legs. His ears are living their own life, with one folded to one side, and another flopping around in the wind. In the shelter Arthur lives next to his girlfriend Madison, and they go walking and running in the park together. Being a teenage boy like he is, Arthur likes to run after his friend in the park and play a bit roughly, lucky for him Madison allows him his shenanigans. For his forever home, Arthur would like to live together with an educator sturdy female dog, who will show him boundaries and guide him to adulthood. He could also very well be an only dog of a home without problems, however we would then definitely recommend taking part in canine socialisation group walks, so he can stay in contact with other dogs, and grow to be a socially educated little cannon ball. Thor is very cool with humans and loves to go on walks with volunteers. He is walking on the leash energetically as he is motivated to go on a walk, but we need to keep in mind that this is a young dog, who only has one short walk per day… Once he moves into a normal daily life, he will surely be calmer on the leash. Arthur has been out for the day with a volunteer, and it seems to us that he probably has not experienced much of “normal life” with humans yet, and for that reason, Arthur is looking for an easygoing home in a calm neighborhood, a human who will slowly and patiently introduce him to the human world. While he did not react to traffic noises or cars, the fast-paced experiences of a city life are a bit too much for him right now, and a home near the future would be much more desirable! He is not very keen on cats, so a home with cats is not an option at the moment. He is social and polite with all humans, and he is also good with children - one thing to keep in mind is that when a person is holding up a treat/food, and not giving it to him, then eventually he can jump up to reach the snack, that is something to keep in mind regarding children. Arthur’s shoulder height is just 50cm. For adoption in Spain, a PPP registration would be needed, and the shelter can help with that. Arthur is also available for international adoptions.
