Topanga est une belle et douce fille qui est venue chez nous d'un éleveur pour commencer son voyage vers un foyer aimant qui lui convient si bien. Lorsqu'elle est arrivée, elle était submergée, nerveuse et incertaine face au monde autour d'elle. Depuis, elle a vraiment commencé à sortir de sa coquille et sa confiance a beaucoup augmenté, ainsi que sa confiance envers les humains. Une fois qu'elle vous connaît, elle viendra maintenant vous demander affectueusement et attention, et même vous offrir un petit baiser sur la main tout en remuant la queue. C'est la chose la plus adorable. Topanga compte sur d'autres chiens pour le réconfort et la confiance, et cherchera un foyer où il y a un chien mâle gentil qui est plus grand qu'elle et peut être son ami et la prendre sous son aile. Elle s'entend bien avec d'autres chiens et partage merveilleusement son enclos avec des chiens mâles, mais ne peut pas être adoptée avec des chiennes. Elle n'a jamais vécu dans un foyer auparavant, donc ses adoptants devront être gentils et compréhensifs pendant qu'elle s'installe et apprend tout sur la vie à la maison et de nouvelles compétences comme l'entraînement aux toilettes. Elle pourrait partager sa maison avec des adolescents qui connaissent les chiens et qui comprennent qu'elle aura besoin d'une introduction douce et calme au foyer et d'un espace personnel pour s'installer. Depuis son arrivée chez nous, elle a appris à marcher en laisse et adore faire des promenades ou descendre dans la cour de jeu. Elle marche magnifiquement en laisse et est maintenant très excitée lorsqu'elle voit sa laisse et aimerait trouver un foyer actif. Elle a fait un long chemin en peu de temps, et nous savons qu'un avenir encore plus lumineux l'attend. Ce dont elle a besoin maintenant, c'est de l'occasion d'expérimenter le confort d'un foyer pour toujours, où elle pourra continuer à prospérer et enfin découvrir ce que signifie vraiment "la vie à la maison". Topanga est arrivée avec une oreille très inflammée, qui a maintenant été traitée, et elle a aussi quelques cicatrices sur le visage - de silencieux rappels d'un passé que nous ne pouvons pas changer, mais qu'elle laissera derrière elle grâce à l'amour et aux soins qu'elle reçoit maintenant. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

Topanga is a beautiful and gentle girl who came to us from a breeder to begin her journey toward the loving forever home she so deserves. When she first arrived, she was overwhelmed, nervous, and unsure of the world around her. Since, then she has really started to come out of her shell and her confidence has grown so much, as well as her trust in humans. Once she knows you, she will now happily approach you to ask for some fuss and attention and will even give you a little kiss on the hand while wagging her tail. It is the sweetest thing. Topanga does rely on other dogs for comfort and confidence and will be looking for a home where there is a kind male resident dog who is larger than her and can be her friend and take her under their wing. She gets on well with other dogs and shares her kennel wonderfully with male dogs, but cannot be homed with female dogs. She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She could share her home with dog-savvy teenagers who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. Since arriving with us, she has learned to walk on a lead and absolutely loves to go for walks or to go down to the play yard. She walks beautifully on a lead and now gets really excited when she sees her lead and would love to find an active home. She has come such a long way in a short time, and we know there’s an even brighter future waiting for her. What she needs now is the chance to experience the comfort of a forever home, where she can continue to flourish and finally learn what “home life” truly means. Topanga arrived with a very inflamed ear, which has now been treated, and she also has some scars on her face - quiet reminders of a past that we can’t undo, but one that she’ll leave behind with the love and care she’s now receiving. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
