Notre petit chien à taches de vache aux yeux de couleur différente, jambes wobbles et beaucoup d'amour à donner. Ce chien gentil est venu chez nous après que son ancien propriétaire ne l'ait plus pu garder. Malheureusement, en raison de problèmes de documents, elle était "illégalement" ici et n'a pas pu être adoptée. Cependant, ce n'était pas un problème à l'époque car cette petite fille avait une série de problèmes de santé complexes que nous devions comprendre et aider de toute façon. Tout d'abord, il y avait un tremblement extrême dans ses jambes qui était presque toujours présent à un certain degré. Il semblait ne pas y avoir de motif pour savoir pourquoi cela empirait certains jours. Après plusieurs tests et visites chez le vétérinaire, nous ne sommes toujours pas sûrs à 100% de la cause des problèmes. Cependant, les bonnes nouvelles sont qu'elle a été adoptée par Silvia, l'une de nos bénévoles. En ressentant l'amour et la détente avec une personne, ses nerfs et son anxiété se sont apaisés tellement que cela a aidé le tremblement un peu. Cela reste un combat continu, mais elle est heureuse, en bonne santé et en amélioration. Un autre problème complexe que cette chienne à taches de vache avait, c'était ses dents, très cariées et infectées. C'était une solution bien plus facile ; une fois qu'elle a eu une opération pour retirer les dents problématiques, elle est devenue un autre chien, plus heureux, plus sain et avec une haleine bien moins forte !

Our little cow print dog with different colour eyes, wobbly legs and lots of love to give. This sweet dog came to us after her previous owner could no longer keep her. Unfortunately due to complications with paperwork, she was “illegally” here and unable to go up for adoption. This however was not a problem at the time as this poor little girl had a whole host of complicated health issues that we need to understand and help anyway. Firstly is the extreme tremor in her legs that was almost always there to some level. Seemingly no pattern as to why it would get worse some days. After multiple tests and vet visits, we are still not 100% sure what causes the problems. However, the good news is that she has adopted Silvia, one of our volunteers. Feeling the love and relaxation with a person her nerves and anxiety have calmed so much that it has helped the tremor somewhat. Still an ongoing battle but she is happy and healthy and improving. Another complicated issue this cow dog had was with her teeth, very rotten and infected. This was a much easier fix, once she had an operation to have the offending teeth removed she became a different dog, happier, healthier and with much less stinky breath!
