06-06-26 Gemma est une adorable jeune fille qui est entrée en notre garde provenant d'un éleveur à la recherche d'une nouvelle vie. Elle est la plus confiante de ses amies de la cage et viendra dire bonjour et laissera vous caresser doucement. Elle est encore assez timide et aura besoin d'amour et de soins pour sortir de sa coquille. Gemma est arrivée avec une infection de l'oreille et plusieurs kystes mammaires. Nos vétérinaires ont également noté que ses incisives inférieures étaient usées, bien qu'elles ne nécessitent actuellement aucune intervention, elle pourrait avoir besoin de soins dentaires à l'avenir. Depuis son arrivée, Gemma a été stérilisée et a subi une chirurgie pour réparer une hernie inguinale, pendant laquelle deux de ses kystes mammaires ont également été retirés. Une fois remise de cette opération, elle est revenue pour une deuxième opération afin d'en retirer quatre autres. Elle se remet bien de ses interventions et est maintenant prête à commencer sa recherche d'un foyer aimant pour toujours. Gemma trouve du réconfort dans la compagnie de ses amies de la cage donc elle aura besoin d'un chien résident bienveillant et confiant dans son nouveau foyer pour être son ami et compagnon. Elle sera particulièrement adaptée à un foyer calme et silencieux et bénéficiera d'adoptants ayant de l'expérience avec les chiens effrayés issus d'élevage. Nous considérerions l'adoption par des adolescents qui connaissent les chiens. Comme Gemma n'a jamais vécu dans un foyer auparavant, elle devra apprendre tout sur l'entraînement aux toilettes, à la laisse, et les bases de la vie domestique. Avec patience, routine et encouragement doux, elle commencera à développer sa confiance et à s'adapter à la vie en famille. Elle commence à apprendre à marcher avec une laisse et un harnais, mais aura besoin de plus de pratique pour gagner en confiance. Gemma est une petite fille douce qui bénéficiera d'un environnement de vie calme et soutenant. Avec l'aide d'un autre chien et d'une famille attentive, elle a toutes les chances de fleurir en un compagnon aimant et fidèle. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

06-06-26 Gemma is a sweet girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She is the most confident of her kennel friends and will come out to say hello and will let you gently stroke her. She is still quite a shy girl and will need love and TLC to come out of her shell. Gemma arrived with us with a ear infection and several mammary lumps. Our vets also noted that her lower incisors were worn, though these do not currently require any action, she may need dental work in the future. Since arrival, Gemma has been spayed and undergone surgery to repair an inguinal hernia, during which two of her mammary lumps were also removed. Once she had recovered from this procedure, she returned for a second operation to have a further four mammary lumps removed. She is recovering well from her surgeries and is now ready to begin her search for a loving forever home. Gemma finds comfort in the company of her kennel friends so will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and companion. She will be best suited to a calm and quiet home and would benefit from adopters who have experience of scared ex-breeding dogs. We would consider homing her with dog savvy teenagers. As Gemma has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. With patience, routine, and gentle encouragement, she will begin to build confidence and settle into family life. She is starting to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, but will need more practice to gain confidence. Gemma is a gentle little girl who will benefit from a calm and supportive home environment. With the help of another dog and a caring family, she has every chance to blossom into a loving and loyal companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
