Race : Croisé Labrador Âge : 1 an environ Joey est un charmant jeune garçon qui est venu chez nous pour être réadopté car il faisait partie d'une portée non planifiée qui n'avait pas trouvé de foyer, il est arrivé avec son frère, Bear. Il est un mélange de races... sa mère est un croisé Labrador/Husky et son père est un chien de secours étranger de taille moyenne. Il est légèrement plus petit que Bear. Malheureusement, Joey n'avait jamais été promené donc il n'avait aucune socialisation avec les chiens, à part les quelques chiens de sa ancienne maison... il peut être bruyant lorsqu'il voit un autre chien pendant les promenades, mais nous pensons que c'est simplement qu'il ne sait pas comment réagir - nous l'avons présenté à plusieurs chiens en notre présence et après la vocalisation initiale, tout s'est bien passé. Nous sommes confiants qu'avec une routine, des sorties régulières et beaucoup d'entraînement, il fera un excellent compagnon ! Il est intelligent et semble très désireux de plaire. Joey est très affectueux avec les gens, il devient très excité - un chiot typique ! Il adore les câlin ! Il a vécu avec des enfants et pourrait aller dans un nouveau foyer avec des enfants âgés de plus de 5 ans. Joey est encore très jeune dans sa tête... il n'avait pas eu d'entraînement, mais nous avons commencé à lui apprendre les bases ! Il sera amusant, mais aura aussi besoin d'un bon travail d'entraînement et de socialisation. Joey a trouvé un foyer, mais malheureusement il a été renvoyé après 3 semaines, en raison de son anxiété séparative au foyer. Il avait du mal à se calmer sans toutes "ses personnes" présentes, et s'il était seul, il sautait constamment devant les portes/fenêtres. Il aura besoin d'un foyer où les personnes sont présentes la plupart du temps, et il serait peut-être mieux vivre avec un autre chien pour la compagnie - mais cela dépendra de la rencontre avec un autre chien.

Breed: Labrador Crossbreed Age: 1 Year Approx Joey is a lovely young lad who came to us for rehoming due to being part of an unplanned litter that didn’t find a home, he came in with his Brother, Bear. He’s a mix of breeds… his Mum is a Labrador/Husky mix, and his Dad is a medium sized foreign rescue. He is slightly smaller than Bear. Unfortunately Joey had never been walked so didn’t have any socialisation with dogs, apart from the several dogs in his previous home… he can be vocal when he see’s another dog out on walks, but we feel that this is simply that he doesn’t know how to react – we have introduced him to several dogs here in our care and he has been find after the initial vocalisation. We are confident that with a routine, regular outings and plenty of training he will make a fantastic companion! He’s clever and seems keen to please. Joey is very affectionate with people, he gets very excited – a typical puppy! He loves a cuddle! He has lived with children and could go to a new home with children over 5yrs. Joey is still very much a puppy in his brain… he’s hadn’t had any training, but we have started to teach him the basics! He will be good fun, but will also need a fair amount of work with his training and socialisation. Joey did find a home, but sadly he was returned after 3wks, due to his separation anxiety in the home. He found it difficult to settle without all of ‘his people’ present, and if left alone he would continually jump up at the doors/windows. He will need a home where people are around majority of the time, and he may be better living with another dog for company – but this would depend on a dog meeting.
