Joey se considère comme un véritable fainéant à temps partiel. Bien qu'il adore faire la sieste sur le canapé avec son personne (en occupant plus d'espace qu'on ne le croirait possible), il apprécie également de bonnes promenades et devient très excité à l'idée de voir son harnais. Pendant ses promenades, il marche très bien en laisse - et accélère à plein régime lorsqu'il pose les pieds sur l'herbe du parc local, faisant un petit zoom avant de passer la majeure partie de son temps là-bas en jogging lent ! Joey doit perdre du poids, donc son enthousiasme pour les promenades l'aidera, mais ses nouveaux maîtres devront être attentifs à cela lorsqu'ils le nourrissent. Il faudra tout de même une volonté d'acier car il vous fixe droit dans les yeux sans cligner des paupières lorsque vous mangez ! Si vous vous êtes jamais demandé à quoi ressemble d'avoir un haricot noir turbo, alors vous devriez certainement en savoir plus sur Joey ! Ce petit chien cherche un foyer où il pourra profiter des petites choses de la vie. Il peut vivre avec des enfants de collège, mais aimerait être le seul chien du foyer. Il passe calmement les autres chiens pendant les promenades, et pourrait avoir un compagnon pour des promenades, mais n'a pas envie de jouer avec d'autres chiens. Étant un vieux garçon, Joey a besoin d'une rampe pour descendre deux marches dans son jardin d'accueil, et a besoin de marches de canapé ou d'équivalent pour accéder facilement au canapé. Joey est propre, et est un plaisir à avoir autour de lui.

Joey considers himself to be a part-time couch potato. Whilst he does love napping on the sofa with his person (taking up more room than you would think possible), he also enjoys a good stroll, and gets super excited to see his harness. When on his walks, he walks very nicely on the lead - and kicks it into fifth gear when his feet touch the grass at the local park, having a little zoom and then spending most of his time there in a slow jog! Joey does need to lose some weight, so him being an enthusiastic walker will help with this, but his new owners will need to be mindful of this when feeding him. You will need willpower of steel though as he stares straight into your soul with unblinking eyes when you are eating your meals! If you have ever wondered what owning a turbo-powered kidney bean is like, then you should definitely learn more about Joey! This little guy is looking for a home where he can enjoy the quieter things in life. He's able to share his home with secondary school aged children, but would like to be the only dog in the home. He can pass dogs calmly out on walks, and could have a doggy walking friend or two, but he isn't keen on playing with other dogs. Being an older boy, Joey does need a ramp to get down two steps in his foster garden, and needs sofa stairs or similar to access the sofa freely. Joey is housetrained, and is a delight to have around.
