Keylie est arrivée dans un refuge à Gran Canaria provenant d'un de leurs célèbres pererras de l'île en tant que petite louveteau avec le reste de sa portée. Avec King, elle attend depuis 7 longues années un foyer aimant, en voyant ses frères et sœurs s'en aller. C'est maintenant son tour. Keylie va bientôt se rendre en Espagne continentale où elle sera préparée et mise en condition pour une adoption ultérieure. Keylie n'a jamais connu qu'un seul refuge, les personnes gentilles qui y travaillent et elle leur fait confiance, elle est très heureuse et détendue en leur présence. Elle est la plus timide des deux et nous pensons qu'elle sera plus réservée dans un nouvel environnement et avec des personnes inconnues initialement et aura besoin de temps pour apprendre à faire confiance aux personnes inconnues. Keylie est une jeune fille très douce, bonne avec les gens et tous les autres chiens, grands et petits. Nous pensons que Keylie a particulièrement besoin d'un compagnon canin dans le foyer avec qui elle pourra former un lien et apprendre. Nous espérons qu'elle prospérera plus rapidement ainsi. Keylie est habituée à la laisse et au harnais et marche bien, mais n'a jamais connu de routes animées. Une maison dans une ville ou un village serait plus adaptée qu'un centre-ville animé. Keylie est stérilisée, vaccinée et a été testée négative pour les maladies méditerranéennes - nous sommes en cours de la tester en profondeur. Keylie arrived to a shelter in Gran Canaria from one of their notorious pererras on the island as a tiny pup along with the rest of her litter. Along with King, she has been waiting 7 long years to find a loving home, watching her other brothers and sisters get adopted. Now its her time. Keylie has since made her journey to the mainland and is in a different shelter there, preparing for adoption. Keylie had only ever known the shelter she was in on Gran Canaria and the wonderful kind people who work there who she trusted and was very happy and relaxed in their company. The travel and change has understanably been stressful for her as she is the more shy and nervous of the pair. She will need to time to learn to trust unfamiliar people but she is starting to settle into her new home. Keylie is such a sweet girl, good with people and all other dogs big and small. We think Keylie in particular needs another doggy companion in the home who she can form a bond with and learn from. We expect she’ll flourish more quickly this way. Keylie is used to a harness and lead and walks well, but will not have encountered busy roads. A home in a town or village would better suit her than a busy city centre. Keylie is neutered, vaccinated and snap tested negative for Mediterranean diseases - we are in the process of re-testing her in full. She is passported and available for adoption now.
