En janvier 2013, nous avons reçu un appel téléphonique concernant une chienne qui avait donné naissance sous un rocher à côté de la rivière. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, la rivière montait, la mère aboyait frénétiquement et les chiots étaient en danger réel d'être emportés. Kerry a retiré son manteau et a ramassé les chiots et s'est dirigé vers la voiture, la chienne suivait mais une fois plus proche de la voiture, elle s'est figée et a dû être portée. Ils ont été ramenés au refuge et l'un de ces chiots était Kizzy. Elle est toujours au refuge aujourd'hui et c'est une jeune fille très heureuse et en bonne santé qui adore ses promenades.

In January of 2013, we received a phone call about a mother dog who had given birth under a rock next to the river. When we arrived the river was rising, the mum was frantically barking and the pups were in real danger of being swept away. Kerry took her jacket off and scooped the puppies up and headed for the car, the mother dog followed but once nearer the car she froze and had to be carried. They were taken back to the shelter and one of those puppies was Kizzy. She is still at the shelter today and is a very happy and healthy girl who loves her walks.
