C'est Mr Monty ; un magnifique greyhound de 6 ans qui vient tout juste d'intégrer la famille ! Monty a pris sa retraite à cause de son âge – il a couru un nombre impressionnant de 200 courses avant de se retirer. Il est un peu abîmé et meurtri des jours de course, mais son caractère n'en est pas moins brillant. Monty est un chien très affectueux, drôle et joyeux. Il adore les humains, interagit merveilleusement bien avec d'autres greyhounds et a même sa propre petite amie et colocataire. Il partage son espace absolument parfaitement et apprécie vraiment de courir dans notre champ avec elle. Il peut certainement vivre avec un autre greyhound. Monty n'est pas encore ici assez longtemps pour que nous puissions voir comment il s'entend avec d'autres races, mais si vous avez déjà un chien non sighthound à la maison et que vous aimiez Monty, nous faisons quelques visites ici au refuge quand même, afin de nous assurer que votre chien et Monty s'entendent bien avant le jour de l'adoption. Monty ferait un adorable animal de compagnie familial pour des enfants sensés et familiers avec les chiens. Monty est maintenant un peu plus âgé et n'a connu que le travail, donc maintenant qu'il est en retraite, il voudra simplement un joli foyer où il pourra se reposer. Les enfants devront comprendre quand Monty veut être laissé seul pour se reposer. C'est un garçon très confiant et un peu attiré par l'attention parfois, donc nous pensons que Monty adorerait rejoindre sa famille au pub, aux cafés, etc. Il aimerait aller dans des endroits où il peut être le centre d'attention et recevoir toute l'affection et l'attention qu'il peut obtenir. Nous aimons beaucoup Monty ici, et nous adorons voir son petit caractère commencer à briller de plus en plus chaque jour. This is Mr Monty; a lovely 6 year old greyhound who just joined the family! Monty retired from racing due to age – running a staggering 200 races before retirement. He’s a little bit battered and bruised from his racing days, but his personality certainly isn’t. Monty is a super loving, fun and happy hound. He loves people, interacts brilliantly with other hounds and also has his very own girlfriend and kennel mate. He shares his space absolutely amazingly, and really enjoys running around our field with her. He can certainly live with another hound. Monty hasn’t been here long enough for us to be able to see how he gets on with other breeds, but if you have a non sighthound in the home already and like the look of Monty, we do a few visits here at the kennel anyway so we can really make sure your dog and Monty get on well before adoption day. Monty would make a lovely family pet with children who are sensible and dog savvy. Monty is a slightly older dude now who has known nothing but work, so now he’s retired he’s just going to want a lovely home to lounge around in and put his feet up. Children will need to understand when Monty wants to be left alone to rest. He’s a very confident boy and a bit of an attention seeker at times so we feel like Monty would love to join his family to the pub, coffee shops etc. He’d love to go places where he can be the star of the show and lap up all the affection and attention from people he can get. We love Monty here, and really enjoy seeing his little personality start to shine through more and more every day.
