Pina (lavande) et Colada (chocolat) sont deux jeunes chiennes Bulldog, âgées d'environ 1 à 2 ans, qui ont été laissées sans soins au centre. Malheureusement, elles n'ont pas eu le meilleur départ dans la vie, connaissant uniquement l'abandon, mais malgré tout, elles ont des natures très indulgentes, douces, et sont maintenant prêtes à trouver leur parfait foyer pour toujours. Lorsqu'elles sont arrivées, les deux chiennes montraient clairement les signes d'un abandon. Pina était fortement en surpoids, avec des plis cutanés irrités, une infection de la peau et des griffes trop longues. Colada était aussi en surpoids, avec des griffes trop longues et des plis cutanés irrités. Les deux chiennes ont depuis reçu un soin vétérinaire nécessaire, ainsi qu'une journée bien-être et beaucoup de soins, et commencent déjà à se sentir beaucoup plus à l'aise. Pina a eu un œil de cerise et devra subir une opération corrective. Elle a également reçu des gouttes antibiotiques pour les yeux, ainsi qu'un traitement antibiotique pour son infection de la peau. Elle a subi une chirurgie qui l'aidera à respirer mieux et améliorera sa qualité de vie globale. Colada est née avec une fente labiale et nous attendons les conseils des vétérinaires quant à la chirurgie qu'elle devra subir. La bonne nouvelle est qu'il ne semble pas affecter son quotidien et elle continue à manger et à profiter de la vie, mais une chirurgie serait bénéfique. Les deux chiennes font vraiment bien leur route vers la guérison et commencent lentement à découvrir le monde autour d'elles. Tout est nouveau, et bien qu'elles puissent être inquiètes en extérieur, elles gagnent en confiance chaque jour. Pina et Colada cherchent un foyer calme, compréhensif, avec des humains patients qui ont le temps de les aider à s'adapter et à grandir. Elles bénéficieraient vraiment de participer à des cours d'entraînement pour renforcer leur confiance et les guider alors qu'elles apprennent à naviguer dans la vie. En raison de leur race, la connaissance des chiens brachycéphales est essentielle, et leurs nouveaux propriétaires devront rester à jour sur leur santé en constante évolution et sur l'entretien général. Les filles commencent à apprécier de sortir et d'explorer, apprenant chaque jour davantage sur le fonctionnement du monde. Rencontrer de nouvelles personnes leur fait énormément de bien, et elles deviennent lentement des petites papillons sociaux. Nous aimerions que Pina et Colada soient relogées ensemble, car elles sont très liées et trouvent un grand réconfort mutuel. Elles pourraient potentiellement vivre avec d'autres chiens stérilisés et des chats expérimentés. Elles pourraient également vivre avec des enfants respectueux et calmes, selon les présentations effectuées au centre. D'une vie d'abandon… à un avenir rempli d'amour, de patience et de bonté, c'est ce dont elles ont besoin.

(PLEASE NOTE : PINA HAS BEEN REHOMED) Pina (lilac) and colada (chocolate) are two young Bulldog girls approximately 1-2 years old, who were carelessly dumped at the centre. Sadly, they have not had the best start in life, knowing only neglect—but despite everything, they have the most forgiving, gentle natures and are now ready to find their perfect forever home. When they arrived, both girls showed clear signs of neglect. Pina was severely overweight, with sore skin folds, a skin infection, and overgrown claws. Colada was also overweight, with overgrown claws and sore skin folds. Both girls have since received much-needed veterinary care, along with a spa day and plenty of TLC, and are already starting to feel much more comfortable. Pina has had cherry eye and will be treated with a corrective operation. She has also been treated with antibiotic eye drops, along with a course of antibiotics for her skin infection. She has undergone surgery which will help improve her breathing and overall quality of life. Colada was born with a hare lip and we are awaiting vets advice on what surgery she will require. The good news is that it doesn’t seem to affect her day-to-day, and she continues to eat and enjoy life well, but with surgery will be beneficial. Both girls are doing really well on their road to recovery and are slowly beginning to discover the world around them. Everything is new, and while they can be worried outdoors, they are gaining confidence day by day. Pina and Colada are looking for a calm, understanding home with patient humans who have the time to help them adjust and grow. They would really benefit from attending training classes to help build their confidence and guide them as they learn how to navigate life. Due to their breed, knowledge of brachycephalic dogs is essential, and their new owners will need to stay on top of their ongoing health and general maintenance. The girls are starting to enjoy getting out and exploring, learning more each day about how the world works. Meeting new people is doing them the world of good, and they are slowly blossoming into little social butterflies. We would love for Pina and Colada to be rehomed together, as they are very bonded and find great comfort in one another. They could potentially live with other neutered dogs and dog-savvy cats. They may also be able to live with respectful, calm children, based on introductions carried out at the centre. From a life of neglect… to a future filled with love, patience, and kindness is what they need. We would love the girls to stay together but would consider separating if needed.
