06-05-26 Ruby est une charmante demoiselle qui est entrée dans notre garde provenant d'un éleveur en quête d'une nouvelle opportunité. Elle est très timide pour l'instant, mais elle est facile à manipuler et apprécie déjà de s'installer sur vos genoux, ce qui suggère qu'il y a un petit chien aimant et affectueux prêt à briller. Nous ne pensons pas qu'il lui faudra longtemps pour commencer à sortir de sa coquille dans le bon environnement. Ruby s'entend merveilleusement bien avec ses amis de la cage et compte sur leur compagnie pour se sentir en sécurité, donc elle aura besoin d'un chien bienveillant dans sa nouvelle maison pour l'aider à guider et lui offrir le réconfort dont elle a besoin pendant son adaptation et sa découverte de ses repères. Comme Ruby n'a jamais vécu dans une maison auparavant, elle devra apprendre tout sur l'entraînement aux chiottes, l'entraînement au collier et les bases de la vie en famille. Une guidance douce et une routine calme l'aideront à continuer à construire sa confiance. Ruby pourrait partager sa maison avec des adolescents expérimentés avec les chiens qui sauront apprécier et comprendre qu'elle aura besoin d'une introduction douce et silencieuse à la maison ainsi qu'à son propre espace pour s'installer. Ruby a un léger menton reculé, mais cela ne semble pas causer de difficultés pour elle. Ruby est une fille douce et sensible qui montre déjà de beaux signes de confiance. Avec de la patience, de la bienveillance et le soutien d'un autre chien, elle a toutes les chances de devenir un compagnon dévoué et affectueux. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

Ruby is a sweet girl who came to us from a breeder ready to find her forever home. When she first arrived she was a very timid little lady, unsure of the world around her. Despite her worries, she is easy to handle and with time, love and care we think she is going to truly blossom. Ruby relies on other dogs for comfort and reassurance, so she will be looking for a home where there was another kind resident dog to take her under their wing. She would be best suited to a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with worried ex-breeding dogs. Ruby has now moved to her foster home and is settling in well, slowly showing lovely signs of progress. She is still very nervous of human interaction, particularly with the males in the home, but she is happy to allow a gentle fuss. She loves spending time in the garden, often choosing a quiet corner where she feels secure. She had never lived in a home before moving to foster, but she is a quick learner and her house training is coming along brilliantly. She now toilets in the garden and has only had one accident since arriving in foster. She sleeps all night in bed with her fosterer, usually curled up quietly out of the way, and once settled she sleeps soundly and accepts gentle fuss. Ruby has formed a sweet bond with the family’s teenage daughter and enjoys spending time on her bed watching TV and snoring contentedly. She will follow her foster carers around the house, happily hop onto the sofa between them, and is becoming comfortable relaxing near them. Ruby is starting to learn about walking on a lead and harness, but will need more practice to build her confidence. She has so far walked around the street a few times and to a local green. She was a little overwhelmed at first, but is showing signs of improvement. Overall, while still a nervous girl, she is making steady progress and blossoming into a beautiful, gentle companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
