The same foster family is also caring for the Boomer puppies Nadia and Brisa. On July 18, Tommy was welcomed with open arms by his foster family in Beekbergen (Gelderland province). With them, he’ll have the time he needs to “settle in,” after everything he’s been through—the long journey and now arriving in a completely new world for him. Through his foster family, we’re getting to know Tommy better and better, learning how he feels and behaves in the Netherlands. When he becomes available for adoption, the information on this page will be updated and expanded! Background: Tommy in Romania: For a while, it was all the rage in Romanian cities to own a Bichon-, Maltese-, or Poodle-like dog—what we’d call a Boomer dog. Now that this trend has passed, local rescuers are increasingly finding abandoned Bichons, Malteses, Boomer puppies, and Poodles :-( Tommy is one of those dogs.

Geadopteerd 👉 tik hier voor onze beschikbare adoptie hondenin Nederland ➡️ Voor Tommy hebben we een gastgezin gevonden! Hetzelfde gastgezin heeft ook de Boomer hondjes Nadia en Brisa in opvang. Op 18 juli is Tommy met open armen ontvangen door zijn gastgezin in Beekbergen (provincie Gelderland). Bij hen krijgt hij de tijd om "te landen", na alles wat hij heeft meegemaakt, de lange reis en nu aangekomen in een voor hem hele nieuwe wereld. Via zijn gastgezin leren we Tommy steeds beter kennen, hoe hij zich in Nederland voelt en gedraagt.Wanneer hij beschikbaar komt voor adoptie, dan wordt de informatie op deze pagina uitgebreid aangevuld! Achtergrond, Tommy in Roemenië: Een tijdlang was het in de steden van Roemenië helemaal hip om een Bichon-, Maltezer of Poedel-achtig hondje te hebben; wij zouden het een Boomer hond noemen. Nu die trend voorbij is, treffen lokale rescuers steeds vaker gedumpte Bichons, Maltezers, Boomerhondjes en Poedeltjes aan :-( Tommy is ook zo'n hondje.
