The same foster family is also caring for the Boomer puppies Nadia and Brisa. On July 18, Tommy was welcomed with open arms by his foster family in Beekbergen (Gelderland province). With them, he’ll have the time he needs to “settle in,” after everything he’s been through—the long journey and now arriving in a completely new world for him. Through his foster family, we’re getting to know Tommy better and better, learning how he feels and behaves in the Netherlands. When he becomes available for adoption, the information on this page will be updated and expanded! Background: Tommy in Romania: For a while, it was all the rage in Romanian cities to own a Bichon-, Maltese-, or Poodle-like dog—what we’d call a Boomer dog. Now that this trend has passed, local rescuers are increasingly finding abandoned Bichons, Malteses, Boomer puppies, and Poodles :-( Tommy is one of those dogs.
