Vivian a été adoptée au Royaume-Uni par une autre association il y a 3 ans. Malheureusement, en raison de difficultés personnelles, ses adoptants ne pouvaient plus s'occuper d'elle. Nous avons convenu avec son premier refuge de la prendre sous l'égide d'Hope For Podencos et de lui trouver un nouveau foyer. Elle est actuellement en garde d'urgence en Écosse et nous recherchons soit une adoption, soit une solution de garde à long terme. C'est une jeune fille merveilleuse qui s'est bien adaptée à la vie en famille. Propre dans la maison, elle se calme facilement et se repose entre les promenades. Bonne avec d'autres chiens, nous pensons qu'elle pourrait aussi vivre comme chien unique. Elle a vécu précédemment avec des enfants, elle peut donc intégrer un foyer avec des enfants âgés de 8 ans ou plus. Elle n'est pas adaptée aux chats. Vivian marche correctement en laisse, bien qu'elle puisse être un peu timide face aux routes très fréquentées et aux bruits forts. Elle trouve également la voiture un peu stressante pour l'instant et respire fort, mais elle finit par se calmer et s'allonger : nous pensons que cela disparaîtra une fois qu'elle s'y sera habituée, et nous pouvons également l'aider dans ce sens. Bien qu'elle soit initialement timide avec les personnes, elle s'habitue rapidement une fois qu'elle vous connaît. Vivian est stérilisée, nous veillerons à ce qu'elle soit vaccinée et testée pour les maladies méditerranéennes. Elle est titulaire d'un passeport et est disponible pour l'adoption dès maintenant. Vivian was adopted to the UK by another rescue 3 years ago. Sadly due to difficult personal circumstances, her adopters could no longer care for her. We have agreed with her initial rescue to take her on under Hope For Podencos and find a home for her. She is currently in foster and we are now looking for a permanent home for her. She’s a wonderful girl who is well adjusted to life in a home. Clean in the house, will happily settle and relax in between walks. Good with other dogs and takes great comfort in their presence so we’d like her to go to a home with at least one other dog. Now that she has settled with her foster family, she has some really lovely carefree, playful moments - she even attempts to get the resident 15 year old to play (much to his disgust!). She previously lived with children so she could go into a home with children who are 8+. She is not suitable for cats. Vivian walks nicely on a lead although can be a little apprehensive of busy roads and loud noises and can also react to other dogs whilst on the lead - something her current fosters have started work on. She also finds the car a little bit stressful currently and pants quite a lot but does lie down and settle - we think once she is used to it this will dissipate and we can also help with this. Whilst she is initially shy with people, she soon warms up once she gets to know you and her fosters describe her as the ‘sweetest, gentlest girl’. She loves to spend time with her people but doesn’t have to be glued to your side and will happily take herself off to snooze or relax. Vivian is neutered, and we will ensure she is vaccinated and tested for Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
