Blossy è un piccolo incrocio di circa cinque anni. Blossy è entrata nel nostro care diverse settimane fa dal rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania. Avevamo visto che veniva presa in giro dai suoi compagni di recinto durante un viaggio e abbiamo cercato di farla uscire il più velocemente possibile. È arrivata alcune settimane dopo, coperta di cicatrici da vecchi morsi, ma al sicuro e contenta di essere fuori dalla pericolosa situazione. Blossy è inizialmente una piccola cagnolina piuttosto indipendente mentre assimila le nuove situazioni. È molto motivata dal cibo, quindi presto inizierà a seguirti in attesa. Dopo un po' di tempo in cui ti considera un distributore automatico di bocconcini, diventerà poi tua amica. Blossy vive felicemente con altri cani e avrà bisogno di almeno un altro cane come compagno e amico. Cammina bene al guinzaglio ma a volte può protestare se vuole andare in una direzione diversa da te o se ti fermi a chiacchierare, la pazienza non è il suo forte, lol vuole solo fare le cose a suo modo. La sua caratteristica originale la rende una preferita da tutti noi e farà un ottimo amico a qualcuno una volta che si sia investito un po' di tempo in lei. Avrà bisogno di un ambiente domestico adatto agli adulti. Blossy è stata allevata da Norwich Norfolk. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 da lunedì a venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Le tariffe di adozione sono valide dal 1° dicembre 2025: Cuccioli già sterilizzati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non sterilizzati con contratti di sterilizzazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della sterilizzazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150-£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Policy di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI utilizzare un guinzaglio a scivolo. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti fiderebbe, e tu non sapresti quali situazioni potrebbero infastidire il cane. Se il tuo cane ha paura, allora un guinzaglio a scivolo è l'unica via per impedirgli di scappare (molti cani possono sfuggire da collare e/o guinzaglio). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per far abituare il cane e per conoscerlo pienamente (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scivolo deve SEMPRE essere utilizzato durante questo periodo di abitudine. Anche dopo che il cane si è abituato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scivolo in situazioni dove il cane potrebbe aver paura (es. visitare luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi trigger inaspettati (es. intorno al Festival dei Fuochi d'Artificio). I cani nervosi potranno sempre dover indossare un guinzaglio a scivolo come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scivolo è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Applicare pressione sul collo del cane con il guinzaglio è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il cane si è abituato, potresti voler considerare l'uso di un pettorina (insieme al guinzaglio a scivolo) se il cane è comodo nel sentirsi toccato quando è fissata. La maggior parte delle pettorine non è antifuga, ma le pettorine con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o Perfect Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. I guinzagli estensibili/non estensibili non devono mai essere utilizzati sui nostri cani. I cani adottati devono essere raccolti dal rifugio e trasportati direttamente a casa in una gabbia. Recinzioni e cancelli devono essere di almeno 5 piedi e sicuri. Tutti i cani sono vaccinati, microchippati e sterilizzati (a meno che il cane non sia troppo giovane per essere sterilizzato). Blossy is a small crossbreed aged around five years old. Blossy came into our care several weeks ago from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. We had witnessed her being picked on by her kennel mates during a trip and endeavoured to get her out as soon as possible. She arrived a few weeks later, covered in scabs from old bites, but safe and relieved to be out of harms way. Blossy is initially quite an independent little dog whilst she takes in new situations. She’s quite food motivated though so will soon be following you around in expectation. After a while of treating you like a mobile treat dispenser she will only then become your friend. Blossy is living happily with other dogs and will need at least one other dog as a companion and friend. She walks well on a lead but can at times still protest if she wants to go a different way to you or if you stop and chat, patience isn’t her strong point lol she just wants to do things her way. Blossy quirky character makes her a favourite amongst us all and she will make someone a brilliant friend once a little time has been invested in her. She will need an adult home environment. Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
