Chepque è arrivato da noi dopo aver subito gravi abusi da parte del suo precedente proprietario. Quando è arrivato per la prima volta nel rifugio, era completamente chiuso, trascorrendo il tempo nascosto nella sua cuccia. È incredibilmente triste pensare che un bambino così piccolo abbia vissuto tanto disinteresse. Naturalmente, Chepque è cauto con le persone e ha bisogno di un po' di tempo per conoscere te. Potrebbe abbaiare quando vi incontrate per la prima volta, questo è semplicemente il suo meccanismo di difesa e il modo in cui esprime che si sente incerto. Con pazienza e comprensione, capisci velocemente che c'è molto di più in lui. Il nostro addestratore dei cani ha lavorato strettamente con Chepque e lui ha già fatto ottimi progressi. Sta lentamente uscendo dalla sua conchiglia e imparando a fidarsi nuovamente. È ancora in fase di sviluppo e avrà bisogno di un ambiente gentile e tranquillo dove il suo addestramento e la costruzione della sua autostima possano continuare. Chepque è socievole con altri cani e ama molto le sue passeggiate. Quando lo osservi da lontano, vedi davvero il vero carattere di Chepque brillare, un dolce piccolo cane che ha solo bisogno di qualcuno che creda in lui.

Chepque came to us after suffering severe abuse at the hands of his previous owner. When he first arrived at the refuge, he was completely shut down, spending his time hiding in his basket. It’s incredibly sad to think that such a little boy experienced so much unkindness. Naturally, Chepque is wary of people and needs a little time to get to know you. He may bark when you first meet him, this is simply his defence mechanism and his way of saying he feels unsure. With patience and understanding, you quickly see that there is so much more to him. Our dog trainer has been working closely with Chepque, and he has already made wonderful progress. He’s slowly coming out of his shell and learning that he can trust again. He is still a work in progress and will need a kind, quiet home where his training and confidence-building can continue. Chepque is sociable with other dogs and absolutely loves his walks. When you watch him from a distance, you really see his true character shining through , a lovely little dog who just needs someone to believe in him.
