Chip (sinistra) e Archie (destra) cercano una nuova casa insieme. Adorerebbero un giardino in cui giocare e rilassarsi. Preferirebbero una casa tranquilla e la compagnia per la maggior parte del tempo. I due ragazzi hanno 8 anni e saranno coperti dal nostro Old Dog Scheme nella loro nuova casa, il che significa che DAS pagherà qualsiasi cura veterinaria non programmata di cui potrebbero aver bisogno per il resto della loro vita, entro limiti ragionevoli.* Entrambi i ragazzi sono timidi – Chip è particolarmente preoccupato intorno alle persone e Archie è abbastanza timido, quindi sarà bene per loro avere l'uno l'altro. I nuovi proprietari dovranno essere molto pazienti con loro, soprattutto con Chip. Sarebbe ideale che il nuovo proprietario avesse esperienza con i Chihuahua. Chip abbaià ai visitatori se è nella gabbia ma altrimenti vorrà solo essere accarezzato. Chip va bene dal veterinario ed è ok con il viaggio in auto. Abbaierà a rumori sconosciuti intorno alla casa. Può abbaiare spesso ma smetterà se glielo dicono. È ok essere lasciati per alcune ore. Durante le passeggiate, Chip indossa una cingia e non tira molto la guida ma il suo richiamo è scarso. Chip è ok da bagnare e pettinare. È stato in pensione canina prima senza problemi. Chip adora una casa che possa dargli tanta attenzione, ama le coccole. Chip ha bisogno di andare in passeggiata o uscite più spesso per socializzare, ovviamente in fasi. Il nuovo proprietario dovrà procedere con calma con lui, ma Chip ha una grande personalità e sarà un compagno vicino e amorevole. Archie è un po' timido ma permetterà di accarezzarlo e dopo va bene. A volte porta un giocattolo. È un cane da divano e ama tante coccole. Archie va bene dal veterinario e non si preoccupa degli altri cani. Archie indossa una cingia durante le passeggiate ed è buono con la guida e sembra avere un buon richiamo. Archie ama i premi, sorride quando glieli danno! Può essere lasciato solo per alcune ore. È ok con il viaggio in auto ed è felice di essere preso in braccio perché è troppo piccolo per saltare dentro. Archie è stato in pensione canina prima e lo ha apprezzato. Tollererà un bagno. Archie ha paura delle voci alte quindi preferisce una casa tranquilla. *OLD DOG SCHEME: Il programma Old Dog di Dog Aid Scotland copre i cani adottati a partire dagli 8 anni. Ciò significa che copriremo i costi per le cure veterinarie per il resto della vita del cane, entro limiti ragionevoli. Non copriamo i costi per trattamenti programmati come vaccini, deparassitazione e trattamento contro pulci. Se il cane necessita di cibo dietetico speciale contribuiremo al 50% del costo. Chip (left) and Archie (right) are looking for a new home together. They would love a garden to play and relax in. They would prefer a quiet home and to have company most of the time. Both boys are 8 years old and will be covered by our Old Dog Scheme in their new home which means DAS can pay for any non-routine veterinary care they may require for the rest of their lives, within reason.* Both boys are shy – Chip is particularly worried around people and Archie is quite timid, so it will be good for them to have each other. Their new owners will need to be very patient with them, especially Chip. It would be ideal for their new owner to have experience with Chihuahuas. Chip will bark at visitors if in his crate but otherwise will just want to be petted. Chip is fine at the vets and is okay travelling in the car. He will bark at unfamiliar sounds around the house. He can bark often but will stop if told. He is fine to be left for a few hours. On walks, Chip wears a harness and does not really pull on the lead but his recall is poor. Chip is fine to be bathed and brushed. He has been to boarding kennels before with no problems. Chip would love a home that can give him lots of attention, he loves cuddles. Chip needs to be taken on more walks/outings to be socialised more, in stages of course. His new owner will need to go slowly with him, but Chip has a great personality and will be a close, loving companion. Archie is a bit timid too but he will let you pet him and he is fine afterwards. He will bring you a toy sometimes too. He is quite a lap dog and loves lots of cuddles. Archie is fine at the vets and does not bother with other dogs. Archie wears a harness on walks and is good on the lead and seems to have okay recall. Archie loves a treat, he smiles when you give him one! He can be left alone for a few hours. He is fine at travelling in the car and is happy to be picked up as he is too small to jump in. Archie has been to boarding kennels before and enjoyed it. He tolerates a bath. Archie is scared of raised voices so would like a quiet home. *OLD DOG SCHEME: Dog Aid Scotland’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs rehomed at 8 years old or above. This means that we will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost. This will alleviate the worry of the financial implications taking an older dog into your home. Older dogs make great pets!
