Chip (izquierda) y Archie (derecha) buscan un nuevo hogar juntos. Les encantaría tener un jardín donde jugar y relajarse. Prefieren un hogar tranquilo y tener compañía la mayor parte del tiempo. Ambos chicos tienen 8 años y estarán cubiertos por nuestro Programa de Perros Mayores en su nuevo hogar, lo que significa que DAS puede pagar cualquier cuidado veterinario no rutinario que puedan necesitar durante el resto de sus vidas, dentro de lo razonable.* Ambos chicos son tímidos - Chip está especialmente preocupado alrededor de las personas y Archie es bastante tímido, por lo que será bueno para ellos tenerse mutuamente. Sus nuevos dueños deberán ser muy pacientes con ellos, especialmente con Chip. Sería ideal que su nuevo dueño tuviera experiencia con Chihuahuas. Chip ladrará a los visitantes si está en su jaula, pero de lo contrario solo querrá que lo acaricien. Chip se porta bien en la veterinaria y está bien viajando en el automóvil. Ladrará a sonidos desconocidos alrededor de la casa. Puede ladrar con frecuencia pero dejará de hacerlo si se le dice. Está bien dejarlo solo por unas horas. En paseos, Chip lleva una correa y no tira mucho de ella, pero su respuesta a la llamada es pobre. Chip está bien para bañarse y cepillarse. Ha estado en cajas de almacenamiento antes sin problemas. Chip amaría un hogar que le dé mucha atención, ama los abrazos. A Chip le gustaría salir más veces/visitar más lugares para socializar más, por etapas, claro está. Su nuevo dueño tendrá que ir despacio con él, pero Chip tiene una gran personalidad y será un compañero cercano y cariñoso. Archie también es un poco tímido, pero le permite que lo acaricien y está bien después. A veces también le trae un juguete. Es un perro que ama los regalos y ama muchos abrazos. Archie se porta bien en la veterinaria y no molesta a otros perros. Archie lleva una correa en los paseos y está bien con la correa y parece tener una buena respuesta a la llamada. Archie ama los premios, sonríe cuando se los das. Puede estar solo por unas horas. Está bien viajando en el automóvil y está contento de ser recogido ya que es demasiado pequeño para saltar. Archie ha estado en cajas de almacenamiento antes y lo disfrutó. Soporta un baño. Archie tiene miedo a las voces altas, por lo que necesita un hogar tranquilo. *PROGRAMA DE PERROS MAYORES: El Programa de Perros Mayores de Dog Aid Scotland cubre a perros reubicados a partir de 8 años o más. Esto significa que cubriremos los costos de atención veterinaria para el perro durante el resto de su vida, dentro de lo razonable. Chip (left) and Archie (right) are looking for a new home together. They would love a garden to play and relax in. They would prefer a quiet home and to have company most of the time. Both boys are 8 years old and will be covered by our Old Dog Scheme in their new home which means DAS can pay for any non-routine veterinary care they may require for the rest of their lives, within reason.* Both boys are shy – Chip is particularly worried around people and Archie is quite timid, so it will be good for them to have each other. Their new owners will need to be very patient with them, especially Chip. It would be ideal for their new owner to have experience with Chihuahuas. Chip will bark at visitors if in his crate but otherwise will just want to be petted. Chip is fine at the vets and is okay travelling in the car. He will bark at unfamiliar sounds around the house. He can bark often but will stop if told. He is fine to be left for a few hours. On walks, Chip wears a harness and does not really pull on the lead but his recall is poor. Chip is fine to be bathed and brushed. He has been to boarding kennels before with no problems. Chip would love a home that can give him lots of attention, he loves cuddles. Chip needs to be taken on more walks/outings to be socialised more, in stages of course. His new owner will need to go slowly with him, but Chip has a great personality and will be a close, loving companion. Archie is a bit timid too but he will let you pet him and he is fine afterwards. He will bring you a toy sometimes too. He is quite a lap dog and loves lots of cuddles. Archie is fine at the vets and does not bother with other dogs. Archie wears a harness on walks and is good on the lead and seems to have okay recall. Archie loves a treat, he smiles when you give him one! He can be left alone for a few hours. He is fine at travelling in the car and is happy to be picked up as he is too small to jump in. Archie has been to boarding kennels before and enjoyed it. He tolerates a bath. Archie is scared of raised voices so would like a quiet home. *OLD DOG SCHEME: Dog Aid Scotland’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs rehomed at 8 years old or above. This means that we will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost. This will alleviate the worry of the financial implications taking an older dog into your home. Older dogs make great pets!
