Dakota è un incrocio grigio e bianco bellissimo che è entrata nel nostro care dalla sua precedente casa per nessuna colpa sua. Questo giovane cane è dolce e molto intelligente e ama imparare nuovi comandi, già capisce "seduto" e "tocca" e sta attualmente imparando "mezzo" (rimanere tra le tue gambe) Dakota ha tanta energia quindi cerca adottatori attivi e con tempo per dedicare alle sue esigenze, almeno 2 passeggiate al giorno con tempo di gioco e stimolazione mentale durante il giorno. Per quanto riguarda il tempo di gioco adora i giocattoli e le palle rumorose e si divertirà felicemente da sola. Gli adottatori nuovi scopriranno che Dakota è un cane così intelligente e ama anche gli enigmi con cibo per tenersi impegnata. Essendo piena di energia, questa dolce cane ha trovato la vita nei nostri recinti frustrante e può diventare un problema quando si prova a metterle la cingia, tuttavia i nostri meravigliosi operatori hanno scoperto un ottimo metodo per mantenerla calma in queste situazioni che certamente insegnano ai nuovi adottatori. Essendo ancora un cane giovane, conoscere persone è ancora molto eccitante e sia che tu sia nuovo per lei o un volto amichevole saluterà comunque saltando alto. I coccoloni sono ancor più stimolanti per Dakota e a volte cercherà di mordere come se fosse ancora un cucciolo, fortunatamente può essere facilmente indirizzata verso un giocattolo quando lo fa. Ha le caratteristiche dei lurcher con gli scatti di energia alta (rumorosa a volte) dei cani di razza bull. Per questo motivo diciamo che dovrebbe vivere con bambini di 16 anni in su. Dakota ha mostrato buoni comportamenti sociali intorno ad altri cani, tuttavia è ancora inesperta nell'incontrare cani al guinzaglio, quindi cerchiamo una casa dove sarà l'unico cane. Tuttavia, se arriva la casa perfetta potremmo essere tentati di provare un'abbinamento con un altro cane per vedere come va. Una volta che sarà nella sua nuova casa con adottatori che le danno gli sbocchi necessari per liberare l'energia accumulata al momento, prospererà e continuerà a svilupparsi in un cane divertente e gioioso che apprezzerebbe un bel abbraccio sulla poltrona alla fine della giornata. Dakota is a beautiful grey and white crossbreed who came into our care from her previous home through no fault of her own. This young dog is loving and very smart and loves to learn new commands, she already understands sit and touch and is currently learning “middle” (standing between your legs) Dakota has lots of energy so is looking for adopters who are active and have time to dedicate to her needs, at least 2 walks a day with playtime and mental stimulation throughout the day. When it comes to playtime she adores toys and squeaky balls and will happily amuse herself. Any new adopters will find that Dakota is such a clever dog and she also loves challenging treat puzzles to keep her entertained. As she is full of bounce, this sweet dog has found life in our kennels frustrating and can become a handful when attempting to harness her, however our incredible carers have discovered a great method to keep her calm in these circumstances which they will definitely teach to her new adopters. As she is still a young dog, meeting people is still very exciting and whether you are new to her or a friendly face she will still jump high to greet you. Cuddles are even more overstimulating for Dakota and at times she will attempt to mouth as if she is still a young puppy, thankfully she can be easily redirected onto a toy when she does this. She has the zoomies traits of a lurcher with the high energy bumps (boisterous at times) of a bull breed. Due to this we are saying she should live with children 16+. Dakota has shown good social behaviours around other dogs, however she is still inexperienced with meeting dogs on lead, therefore we are looking for a home where she will be the only dog However, if the perfect home comes along we may be tempted to attempt a dog mix to see how it goes. Once she is in her new home with adopters who provide the outlets she needs to release her current pent up energy she is going to thrive and continue to develop into such a fun and joyful dog who will enjoy a cosy cuddle on the sofa at the end of the day.
