Adottare Džozija

Traduzione in arrivo.

Džoizija first arrived at the shelter as a stray dog, microchipped but not re-registered from its first to its second owners and in a poor state, with one eye almost sealed with a cork of dirt, pus, and fur. The dog smelled terribly of urine and was unfriendly and aggressive towards us. We managed to clean her up somewhat, and after a few days, her owners came to collect her - they looked quite tidy and spoke warmly about Džoizija's character and how her other dog was eagerly waiting for her at home. It so happened that she had gone missing during a walk. Nothing indicated what would follow next... A few months later, Džoizija returned to the shelter. This time, she was accompanied by a very old yorkie Toto. The dogs were brought to the shelter from an apartment with the approval of the municipal police, because the wife had disappeared and the husband, an invalid, was going to surgery and the dogs were left in a helpless state. We recovered both dogs this second time, and then the phone calls started - one day a neighbor wanted Toto, then the husband called (it turned out he wasn't even going to the operation, he just used that as an excuse to get rid of the dogs), until it was revealed that the "neighbor" was none other than the missing wife... And both wanted Toto back with full force, not even mentioning Džoizija (it's interesting that Džoizija had changed her character the second time she was in the shelter - she was friendly, happy, without any signs of grumpiness). We jumped up and went to the dogs' place of residence to see and discuss everything for ourselves. On the one hand, it seemed - maybe two respectable old dogs would be better off returning home than languishing in the shelter? But this visit turned out to be one of those times when you clearly understand: there is a category of people who should not be allowed to keep animals. In youth, it may be enough just to feed them, but in old age, when animals develop various ailments, money must be spent on their health and well-being, not on alcohol. Toto has already found a new home, but 12-year-old Džoizija is still at our home. Yes, we know that her external appearance is not the most attractive at the moment (we are waiting in line for a dog hairdresser!), but her essence is nice, with a small "sparkle" - if something really, really doesn't like it, she likes to growl, otherwise - friendly, lively and nice dog. Džoizija has no eye - it was sewn up by the doctor during sterilization and teeth cleaning. We are looking for the best owners for Džoizija, who will take care of her old age!

Džozijai nav vienas actiņas – sterilizācijas un zobu sakopšanas laikā dakteri to aizšuva. Meklējam Džozijai vislabākos saimniekus, kuri parūpēsies par viņas vecumdienām!
