Layla è alla ricerca di un ambiente esclusivo per adulti. Vorrebbe essere l'unico cane in casa, ma potrebbe convivere con gatti o piccoli animali, anche se non abbiamo storia del suo comportamento intorno a tali animali. Layla è una dolce e affettuosa signorina che ha davvero un lato giocoso e goffo! È stato un piacere trascorrere del tempo con lei mentre era nel nostro rifugio e fa amicizia velocemente con tutti quelli che incontra! Layla ha alcuni strani comportamenti che richiederanno un addestramento e una gestione continua. In una precedente casa ha mostrato possessività sui suoi giochi e ha anche mostrato reattività verso altri cani. Avrà bisogno di proprietari esperti che siano sicuri di gestire questi comportamenti e implementare un piano di addestramento per aiutarla a imparare comportamenti più appropriati. Le saranno necessarie passeggiate in aree tranquille / in orari tranquilli mentre lavora su questo. Ha ricevuto bene l'addestramento e siamo certi che, con la pazienza e l'impegno della giusta famiglia, continuerà a farlo bene. Layla è molto divertente da avere intorno e spesso ci fa ridere con i suoi modi buffi. Non abbiamo dubbi che diventerà un'ottima aggiunta alla giusta famiglia che può offrirle l'impegno e la costanza di cui ha bisogno. Layla ha ricevuto trattamenti per alcuni problemi medici durante il nostro periodo di cura, inclusi episodi di convulsioni dei quali ha bisogno di farmaci continuativi. I potenziali nuovi padroni devono sapere che queste condizioni probabilmente saranno considerate come condizioni preesistenti e quindi non coperte dall'assicurazione per animali domestici. Layla is looking for an adult-only home. She would like to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with cats or small animals, although we have no history of her behaviour around such animals. Layla is a sweet and affectionate little lady who has a real playful and daft side! She’s been a pleasure to spend time with whilst here at the shelter and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets! Layla does have some quirks which she will require ongoing training and management for. In a previous home she did show some possessiveness over toys and she has also shown reactivity towards other dogs. She will need experienced owners who are confident managing these behaviours and implementing a training plan to help her learn more appropriate behaviours. She will require walks in quiet areas / at quiet times of day whilst she is working on this. She has taken well to training and we are sure that, with the patience and commitment of the right family, she will continue to do well. Layla is so much fun to be around and often has us laughing with her daft ways. We have no doubt she will make a wonderful addition to the right family who can offer her the commitment and consistency she needs. Layla has required treatment for some medical issues whilst in our care, including seizures which she requires ongoing medication for. Any potential rehomers should be aware that these will likely be classed as a pre-existing condition and therefore not covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss Layla’s veterinary history in further detail with any successful applicants.
