Layla está buscando un hogar solo para adultos. Le gustaría ser el único perro en el hogar, pero podría vivir con gatos o animales pequeños, aunque no tenemos historial de su comportamiento alrededor de tales animales. Layla es una señora dulce y cariñosa que tiene un lado juguetón y tonto real. Ha sido un placer pasar tiempo con ella mientras estaba en el refugio y hace amigos rápidamente con todas las personas que conoce. A Layla le faltan algunos rasgos que requerirán formación y manejo continuos. En un hogar anterior mostró cierta posesividad sobre juguetes y también ha mostrado reactividad hacia otros perros. Necesitará dueños experimentados que sean seguros manejando estos comportamientos e implementando un plan de entrenamiento para ayudarla a aprender comportamientos más adecuados. Requiere paseos en áreas tranquilas / en momentos tranquilos del día mientras trabaja en esto. Ha respondido bien al entrenamiento y estamos seguros de que, con la paciencia y el compromiso de la familia adecuada, seguirá haciendo un buen trabajo. Layla es muy divertida de estar alrededor y a menudo nos hace reír con sus formas tontas. No tenemos duda de que será una excelente adición a la familia adecuada que pueda ofrecerle el compromiso y la consistencia que necesita. Layla ha requerido tratamiento para algunos problemas médicos durante nuestro cuidado, incluyendo convulsiones que requiere medicación continua. Layla is looking for an adult-only home. She would like to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with cats or small animals, although we have no history of her behaviour around such animals. Layla is a sweet and affectionate little lady who has a real playful and daft side! She’s been a pleasure to spend time with whilst here at the shelter and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets! Layla does have some quirks which she will require ongoing training and management for. In a previous home she did show some possessiveness over toys and she has also shown reactivity towards other dogs. She will need experienced owners who are confident managing these behaviours and implementing a training plan to help her learn more appropriate behaviours. She will require walks in quiet areas / at quiet times of day whilst she is working on this. She has taken well to training and we are sure that, with the patience and commitment of the right family, she will continue to do well. Layla is so much fun to be around and often has us laughing with her daft ways. We have no doubt she will make a wonderful addition to the right family who can offer her the commitment and consistency she needs. Layla has required treatment for some medical issues whilst in our care, including seizures which she requires ongoing medication for. Any potential rehomers should be aware that these will likely be classed as a pre-existing condition and therefore not covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss Layla’s veterinary history in further detail with any successful applicants.
