Presentiamo la nostra dolce Lola! Lola è una caratteristica e richiederà una casa molto comprensiva e paziente per accogliere questa signora drammatica e propensa ai "zoomie". Cerca una casa in campagna con un giardino sicuro e privato che offra un'area sicura e tranquilla dove può correre e esplorare. Avrà bisogno di vivere in una casa dove le persone siano presenti gran parte del giorno, anche se riteniamo che possa stare sola per brevi periodi una volta che si sarà abituata. Lola non è ancora in grado di uscire a passeggio e stiamo ancora lavorando sulla desensibilizzazione al guinzaglio e alla cingia. Questo dovrà continuare nella casa e speriamo che una volta sistemata in una nuova casa possa iniziare a camminare in aree molto quiete mentre costruisce gradualmente la sua fiducia - ma questo non deve essere affrettato! Lola ha una forte opinione e mentre talvolta cerca l'affetto dei suoi operatori e delle persone preferite e gode di un colpetto sul collo, spesso non vuole l'affetto e può diventare confusa quindi avrà bisogno di una famiglia comprensiva che rispetti ciò che Lola vuole e non la forzi ad accettare l'affetto. È timida dal veterinario e avrà bisogno di una maschera per il trattamento veterinario per garantire la sicurezza di tutti. Può essere ansiosa verso le nuove persone quando le incontra inizialmente ma tipicamente si riscalda dopo alcuni incontri e si sentirà più comoda con loro. Lola DEVE vivere in una casa solo con adulti e non devono esserci bambini in visita nella casa. Ha dimostrato di essere buona con altri cani finora quindi crediamo che possa fare amicizia con alcuni cani per aiutarla a costruire la sua fiducia. La mescoleremo presto con un altro cane sul posto quindi aggiorniamo la sua valutazione presto se pensiamo che possa vivere con un altro cane. Lola farà un fantastico compagno per la persona giusta, nell'ambiente giusto ma richiederà ulteriore addestramento e lavoro nella sua casa per sempre. È giocosa e ama giocare con i giocattoli e spesso inizia a giocare da sola soprattutto quando si sente impulsiva! Introducing our Lovely Lola! Lola is quite a character and will require an understanding and patient home to take on this dramatic and zoomie-prone lady. She is looking for a rural or semi-rural home with a secure, private garden that will provide a safe and quiet area for her to zip around in and explore. She will need to be in a home where people are around most of the day, although we do believe she will be okay to be left for short periods of time once she is settled. Lola is currently undergoing harness and lead training as she was unable to wear either of these when she first arrived in our care. She is doing very well with this and is now able to be walked around our site by her carers. This training will need continuing in the home and we are hopeful that once settled in a new house she will be able to begin walks in very quiet areas while she gradually builds confidence. Lola builds strong bonds with people she spends lots of time with and has become very affectionate with her favourite carers. Adopters may need to spend some time building up that bond with Lola. She lets us know when she wants to go off and do her own thing, and that’s ok! She can be anxious of new people when initially meeting them but will typically warm up after a few meets and be more comfortable around them. Due to her initially anxious disposition, Lola will need to live in an adult only home without any visiting children. She is quite worried in the vets and has been learning how to wear a muzzle so her vet visits can be less stressful for her and her vets! She has shown to be good with other dogs so far. She can be a bit ‘rude’ initially but respects other dogs boundaries and space and is happy to mooch around with them. Making some dog friends will assist in building her confidence, so she could possibly be rehomed with another dog of similar size pending a successful introduction. Lola will make a fantastic companion for the right person, in the right environment but will require further training in her forever home. She enjoys playing with toys and will often initiate play by herself especially when zooming! If you feel that you can offer this wonderful lady her forever home, we would love to hear from you!
