Presentando a nuestra encantadora Lola! Lola es un personaje muy especial y requerirá un hogar muy comprensivo y paciente para asumir a esta dama dramática y propensa a los "zoomies". Busca un hogar rural con un jardín seguro y privado que le ofrezca un área segura y tranquila donde pueda correr y explorar. Necesitará estar en un hogar donde haya personas la mayor parte del día, aunque creemos que podrá estar sola durante períodos cortos una vez que se haya adaptado. Actualmente Lola no puede hacer caminatas y aún estamos trabajando en la desensibilización con arnés y correa. Esto requerirá continuar en el hogar y esperamos que una vez adaptada en una nueva casa pueda comenzar a hacer caminatas en áreas muy tranquilas mientras va ganando confianza, pero esto no debe apresurarse. Lola tiene opinión propia en los mejores momentos y aunque a veces busca afecto de sus cuidadores y personas favoritas y disfruta de un rascado en el cuello, a menudo no disfruta del afecto y puede volverse conflictiva, por lo tanto necesitará una familia comprensiva que respete lo que Lola quiere y no le imponga afecto. Es temerosa en el veterinario y requerirá una bozal para el manejo veterinario para mantener a todos seguros. Puede ser ansiosa con nuevas personas al conocerlas inicialmente, pero normalmente se calma después de unos pocos encuentros y se siente más cómoda con ellas. Lola DEBE vivir en un hogar solo para adultos y no debe haber niños visitando el hogar. Ha demostrado ser buena con otros perros hasta ahora, por lo tanto creemos que podría hacer amistades caninas para ayudarla a ganar confianza. Vamos a mezclarla con otro perro en el lugar pronto, por lo tanto actualizaremos su evaluación pronto si consideramos que podría vivir con otro perro. Lola será una excelente compañera para la persona adecuada, en el entorno correcto, pero requerirá más entrenamiento y trabajo en su hogar para siempre. Introducing our Lovely Lola! Lola is quite a character and will require an understanding and patient home to take on this dramatic and zoomie-prone lady. She is looking for a rural or semi-rural home with a secure, private garden that will provide a safe and quiet area for her to zip around in and explore. She will need to be in a home where people are around most of the day, although we do believe she will be okay to be left for short periods of time once she is settled. Lola is currently undergoing harness and lead training as she was unable to wear either of these when she first arrived in our care. She is doing very well with this and is now able to be walked around our site by her carers. This training will need continuing in the home and we are hopeful that once settled in a new house she will be able to begin walks in very quiet areas while she gradually builds confidence. Lola builds strong bonds with people she spends lots of time with and has become very affectionate with her favourite carers. Adopters may need to spend some time building up that bond with Lola. She lets us know when she wants to go off and do her own thing, and that’s ok! She can be anxious of new people when initially meeting them but will typically warm up after a few meets and be more comfortable around them. Due to her initially anxious disposition, Lola will need to live in an adult only home without any visiting children. She is quite worried in the vets and has been learning how to wear a muzzle so her vet visits can be less stressful for her and her vets! She has shown to be good with other dogs so far. She can be a bit ‘rude’ initially but respects other dogs boundaries and space and is happy to mooch around with them. Making some dog friends will assist in building her confidence, so she could possibly be rehomed with another dog of similar size pending a successful introduction. Lola will make a fantastic companion for the right person, in the right environment but will require further training in her forever home. She enjoys playing with toys and will often initiate play by herself especially when zooming! If you feel that you can offer this wonderful lady her forever home, we would love to hear from you!
