Magpie è un incrocio di media taglia con circa cinque o sei anni. Il salvataggio è entrato nel nostro cura da poco dal rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania dove era rimasta per un certo periodo. È una ragazza amichevole e dolce che all'inizio è solo un po' timida con le persone nuove. Gioca bene con altri cani e vorrebbe un altro cane nella sua casa per sempre. Magpie potrebbe vivere con bambini rispettosi di età dieci anni o più. Questo cane ha superato il test con i gatti. Quindi può vivere con un gatto esperto dei cani. Magpie è stata in foster care a Fakenham Norfolk. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 da lunedì a venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Le tariffe di adozione sono valide dal 1° dicembre 2025: Cuccioli già castrati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non castrati con accordi per la sterilizzazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della sterilizzazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150-£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Policy di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, devi utilizzare sempre una guinzaglio a scivolo. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero turbare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora il guinzaglio a scivolo è l'unica via per evitare che fugga (molti cani possono scappare da collare e/o marsupio). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per far abituare il cane e per conoscerlo pienamente (più tempo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scivolo deve essere sempre utilizzato durante questo periodo di adattamento. Anche dopo che il cane si è abituato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scivolo in situazioni in cui il cane potrebbe spaventarsi (es. visita luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero accadere trigger inaspettati (es. intorno al 5 novembre). I cani nervosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre un guinzaglio a scivolo come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scivolo è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere usato come strumento di addestramento. Utilizzare il guinzaglio per esercitare pressione sul collo del cane è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il cane si è abituato, potresti considerare di utilizzare una cingia (insieme al guinzaglio a scivolo) se il cane è comodo ad essere toccato quando è fissata. La maggior parte delle cingie non sono anti-fuga, ma quelle con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o cingie Perfect Fit) sono più sicure. I guinzagli retrattili / estensibili non devono mai essere utilizzati sui nostri cani. I cani adottati devono essere ritirati dal rifugio e trasportati direttamente a casa in una gabbia. Recinzioni e cancelli devono essere di minimo 5 piedi e sicuri. Tutti i cani sono vaccinati, microchippati e sterilizzati (a meno che il cane non sia troppo giovane per essere sterilizzato). Magpie is a medium sized crossbreed aged around five to six years old. Rescue has come into our care recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania where she had been for some time. She is a friendly and sweet girl who is initially just a little shy with new people. She plays well with other dogs and would like another dog in her forever home. magpie could live with respectful children aged ten plus. This dog has passed their cat testing. Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
