Matteo è un incrocio di media/grande taglia con circa quattro anni. Matteo è entrato nel nostro affidamento da poco dal rifugio di Roxana in Romania. È entrato nel rifugio come cucciolo insieme a sua madre e sorella e purtroppo è cresciuto lì. Matteo è un personaggio buffo che si sta adattando bene alla sua nuova vita, ma ha ancora molte nuove esperienze da vivere. Ha una completa serie di espressioni facciali che ci fanno sorridere. Non è molto coraggioso quando incontra cose nuove, ma dopo alcuni ripetuti incontri perde le sue paure e sta davvero iniziando a godersi e a essere affascinato dalla vita fuori dal rifugio. Si intende bene con altri cani e vorrebbe vivere con almeno un altro cane nella sua casa definitiva. Può convivere con bambini rispettosi di età dieci anni o più. Avrà bisogno di pazienza e guida mentre costruisce la fiducia nel grande mondo esterno. È affettuoso e scherzoso con le persone che conosce bene e sarà una splendida aggiunta alla sua fortunata nuova famiglia. Matteo ha fatto il bagno con Norwich Norfolk. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 da lunedì a venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Tariffe per adozione A partire dal 1° dicembre 2025, i cuccioli già sterilizzati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non sterilizzati su contratti di sterilizzazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della sterilizzazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150–£250 (a seconda dell'età e delle esigenze individuali). Condizioni generali per l'adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI utilizzare un guinzaglio a scatto. Questo terrà sicuro il tuo cane: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia, e tu non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero agitare il cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora il guinzaglio a scatto è l'unica via per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono scappare da collare e/o imbragatura). Ci vorranno AT LEAST 3-6 mesi per farlo ambientare e per conoscerlo pienamente (più a lungo per i cani ansiosi). Il guinzaglio a scatto deve SEMPRE essere utilizzato durante questo periodo di ambientamento. Anche dopo che il tuo cane è ambientato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scatto in situazioni in cui il cane potrebbe aver paura (es. visitare luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi scatenanti inaspettati (es. intorno al 5 novembre). I cani ansiosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre il guinzaglio a scatto come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scatto è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di allenamento. Applicare pressione sul collo del cane con il guinzaglio è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il tuo cane è ambientato, potresti considerare l'utilizzo di un'imbracatura (insieme al guinzaglio a scatto) se il cane è comodo con esso. Matteo is a medium/large crossbreed aged around four years old. Matteo has come into our care recently from Roxana’s shelter in Romania. He went into the shelter as a puppy along with his mum and sister and sadly grew up there. Matteo is a comical character who is adapting well to his new life but still has a lot of new experiences to encounter. He has a whole catalog of facial expressions that make us smile. He is not very brave when encountering new things but after a few repeats of them he loses his fears and is really starting to enjoy and be fascinated by life outside of the shelter. He gets on well with other dogs and would like to live with at least one other dog in his forever home. He can live with respectful children aged ten plus. He will need patience and guidance while he builds up confidence out in the big wide world. He is affectionate and cheeky with people he knows well and will make a fab addition to his lucky new family. Matteo fostered Norwich Norfolk. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
