Questo è Reggie; un ragazzone divertente, affettuoso e buffo che si è appena unito alla famiglia! Reggie è arrivato da noi in coppia con un'altra cagna greyhound. Alla fine abbiamo deciso di separarli e di dargli un box tutto per sé, poiché abbiamo capito velocemente che non era molto interessato alla sua ragazza, era molto più entusiasta di avere i giocattoli... specialmente la palla blu (rappresentata qui sotto) che sembrava attaccata alla sua bocca! Quando accoppiamo i cani nel box non permettiamo loro di avere giocattoli per ridurre il rischio di litigi. Gli abbiamo dato quindi uno spazio tutto suo, tutti i giocattoli e le ricompense che voleva e un letto singolo tutto per sé. Gli piaceva Rosa e non abbiamo mai avuto problemi quando erano in box insieme, ma lui ama molto di più avere il suo box e i suoi giocattoli invece di avere un cane come compagno. Lo considereremmo in un ambiente con un altro cane, ma onestamente è molto contento da solo con un cesto pieno di giocattoli. Reggie è assolutamente dolce, molto divertente e molto tenero e affettuoso. È un ragazzone forte, quindi chiunque lo adottasse deve essere a proprio agio con la passeggiata di un cane grande e forte. È stato fuori dalla struttura alcune volte e tutti i volontari hanno detto che è un bravo ragazzo e ama le sue avventure, ma è abbastanza forte al guinzaglio. Sarebbe un ottimo animale domestico per una famiglia, ma con bambini più grandi che sanno come comportarsi con cani grossi. Inoltre, se hai bambini molto piccoli che lasciano i giocattoli sparsi, Reggie li ruberebbe sicuramente, quindi riguardo ai bambini, tanto più grandi tanto meglio. Amiamo molto Reggie, è un personaggio veramente particolare e un ragazzo davvero bello. This is Reggie; a fun loving, endearing a goofy guy who just joined the family! Reggie originally came to us as a pair, with another female greyhound. We ended up splitting them and letting him have the kennel to himself as we quickly realised he didn’t really care about his girlfriend, he was WAY more excited about having toys… specifically the blue ball (pictured below) that was practically glued to his mouth! When we pair dogs up in the kennel we don’t allow them to have toys to reduce the risk of a squabble. So we gave him his own space, all the toys and treats he could ask for and a single bed all to himself. He liked Rosa and we never had any issues when they were kennelled together, but he LOVES having his own kennel and toys way more than having a dog for company. We would consider him in a home with another dog, but to be honest he’s quite content on his own with a basket full of toys. Reggie is absolutely lovely, super funny and very endearing and loving. He is a big, strong lad so whoever takes him home has to be comfortable with walking a large, strong dog. He’s been off site a few times and the volunteers have all said he’s a very good boy and loves his adventures, but is quite strong on the lead. He’d make a great family pet, but with older dog savvy kids who are confident around big dogs. Also, if you have super young kids who leave toys lying around, Reggie will absolutely steal them, so when it comes to kids, the older the better. We love Reggie here, he’s a real character and such a beautiful boy. If you’re a confident dog owner looking for a loveable goof ball to call your own, Reggie could be a fantastic choice!
