C'est Reggie ; un gars amusant, tendre et drôle qui vient tout juste de rejoindre la famille ! Reggie est arrivé chez nous en couple, avec une autre chienne greyhound. Nous avons fini par les séparer et lui donner une cage à lui seul car nous avons vite compris qu'il ne s'intéressait vraiment pas à sa copine, il était bien plus excité par les jouets... spécifiquement la balle bleue (visible ci-dessous) qui était pratiquement collée à sa bouche ! Lorsque nous mettons des chiens ensemble dans la cage, nous n'autorisons pas les jouets pour réduire le risque de disputes. Nous lui avons donc donné son propre espace, tous les jouets et friandises qu'il pouvait demander ainsi qu'un lit individuel. Il aimait Rosa et nous n'avons jamais eu de problème lorsqu'ils étaient en cage ensemble, mais il adore nettement plus avoir sa propre cage et ses jouets que d'avoir un chien comme compagnie. Nous considérerions qu'il puisse vivre avec un autre chien, mais honnêtement, il est très content seul avec un panier rempli de jouets. Reggie est absolument adorable, très drôle et très affectueux. C'est un grand garçon fort, donc qui l'adopte devra être à l'aise pour promener un grand chien fort. Il est sorti quelques fois hors du refuge et les bénévoles ont tous dit qu'il est un très bon garçon et qu'il adore ses aventures, mais qu'il est assez fort sur la laisse. Il ferait un excellent animal de famille, mais avec des enfants plus âgés qui connaissent les chiens et qui sont confiants avec les grands chiens. Aussi, si vous avez des jeunes enfants qui laissent des jouets par terre, Reggie les volera absolument, donc concernant les enfants, plus ils sont âgés, mieux c'est. Nous adorons Reggie ici, c'est un vrai personnage et un très joli garçon. Si vous êtes un propriétaire expérimenté cherchant un chien mignon et drôle à adopter, Reggie pourrait être un excellent choix ! Pensez-vous pouvoir offrir un foyer aimant à ce chien ? This is Reggie; a fun loving, endearing a goofy guy who just joined the family! Reggie originally came to us as a pair, with another female greyhound. We ended up splitting them and letting him have the kennel to himself as we quickly realised he didn’t really care about his girlfriend, he was WAY more excited about having toys… specifically the blue ball (pictured below) that was practically glued to his mouth! When we pair dogs up in the kennel we don’t allow them to have toys to reduce the risk of a squabble. So we gave him his own space, all the toys and treats he could ask for and a single bed all to himself. He liked Rosa and we never had any issues when they were kennelled together, but he LOVES having his own kennel and toys way more than having a dog for company. We would consider him in a home with another dog, but to be honest he’s quite content on his own with a basket full of toys. Reggie is absolutely lovely, super funny and very endearing and loving. He is a big, strong lad so whoever takes him home has to be comfortable with walking a large, strong dog. He’s been off site a few times and the volunteers have all said he’s a very good boy and loves his adventures, but is quite strong on the lead. He’d make a great family pet, but with older dog savvy kids who are confident around big dogs. Also, if you have super young kids who leave toys lying around, Reggie will absolutely steal them, so when it comes to kids, the older the better. We love Reggie here, he’s a real character and such a beautiful boy. If you’re a confident dog owner looking for a loveable goof ball to call your own, Reggie could be a fantastic choice!
