Adoptar a Reggie

Este es Reggie; un chico divertido, cariñoso y gracioso que acaba de unirse a la familia. Reggie llegó a nosotros en pareja, con otra perra greyhound. Terminamos separándolos y permitiéndole tener la jaula para él solo ya que rápidamente nos dimos cuenta de que no le importaba mucho su novia, estaba MUCHO más emocionado por tener juguetes... específicamente la pelota azul (imagen inferior) que prácticamente estaba pegada a su boca. Cuando emparejamos perros en la jaula no permitimos que tengan juguetes para reducir el riesgo de una pelea. Así que le dimos su propio espacio, todos los juguetes y golosinas que quisiera y una cama individual. Le gustaba Rosa y nunca tuvimos ningún problema cuando estaban en la jaula juntos, pero él AMA tener su propia jaula y juguetes mucho más que tener un perro como compañía. Lo consideraríamos en un hogar con otro perro, pero honestamente está bastante contento solo con una cesta llena de juguetes. Reggie es absolutamente encantador, muy divertido y muy cariñoso y amoroso. Es un muchacho grande y fuerte, así que quien lo lleve a casa tiene que estar cómodo caminando con un perro grande y fuerte. Ha salido del centro algunas veces y los voluntarios han dicho todos que es un muy buen chico y ama sus aventuras, pero es bastante fuerte en la correa. Sería un excelente mascota familiar, pero con niños mayores que estén acostumbrados a perros grandes y que estén seguros alrededor de ellos. Además, si tienes niños muy pequeños que dejan juguetes por ahí, Reggie los robará sin duda, así que en cuanto a niños, cuanto más mayores mejor. This is Reggie; a fun loving, endearing a goofy guy who just joined the family! Reggie originally came to us as a pair, with another female greyhound. We ended up splitting them and letting him have the kennel to himself as we quickly realised he didn’t really care about his girlfriend, he was WAY more excited about having toys… specifically the blue ball (pictured below) that was practically glued to his mouth! When we pair dogs up in the kennel we don’t allow them to have toys to reduce the risk of a squabble. So we gave him his own space, all the toys and treats he could ask for and a single bed all to himself. He liked Rosa and we never had any issues when they were kennelled together, but he LOVES having his own kennel and toys way more than having a dog for company. We would consider him in a home with another dog, but to be honest he’s quite content on his own with a basket full of toys. Reggie is absolutely lovely, super funny and very endearing and loving. He is a big, strong lad so whoever takes him home has to be comfortable with walking a large, strong dog. He’s been off site a few times and the volunteers have all said he’s a very good boy and loves his adventures, but is quite strong on the lead. He’d make a great family pet, but with older dog savvy kids who are confident around big dogs. Also, if you have super young kids who leave toys lying around, Reggie will absolutely steal them, so when it comes to kids, the older the better. We love Reggie here, he’s a real character and such a beautiful boy. If you’re a confident dog owner looking for a loveable goof ball to call your own, Reggie could be a fantastic choice!
