Rusty è arrivato nel Regno Unito nel novembre 2020 e ha vissuto la vita come animale domestico in una casa. Purtroppo, a causa delle circostanze della vita, ora ha bisogno di un altro ambiente. Rusty è molto affettuoso con i suoi umani ed è un vero gentiluomo dolce in casa, ma alcune cose possono scatenare ansie. Ha bisogno di una casa calma con una routine che lo aiuti a gestire questi trigger. È desideroso di piacere e crediamo che con costanza e impegno farà molto bene. Rusty ha tanti aspetti positivi: si muove bene in auto, è a suo agio con gli estranei, si adatta bene in casa dove ama dormire tutta la giornata e può essere lasciato per fino a 3-4 ore. Adora l'attenzione e è molto facile da addestrare - ama le ricompense e già conosce comandi base come siediti, prendi ecc. Le sue ansie lo hanno portato a volte a prendere le peggiori decisioni quindi avrà bisogno di un addestramento aggiuntivo per gestirle, specialmente riguardo la sua reattività durante le passeggiate, per cui è addestrato a indossare il morso e lo usa quando è fuori casa. Rusty is a sweet natured girl who was rescued from a Pererra. She went to live in a home that had a cat for a short period (not arranged through us) but got a bit excited and would chase the cat on occasion which meant the adopter felt it wasn’t the right match. As such, we don’t consider her suitable for cats. She is now in a foster home in Spain with other dogs and children and she is doing really well. She is a happy, playful and cheeky young podenco. She could live as an only dog, or with other dogs and we could also home her with children given her previous experience. She’s a good allrounder so could happily live in lots of different types of homes. Rusty will be neutered, is vaccinated and snap tested negative for Mediterranean diseases.
