Prima di entrare nel nostro allevamento, Sam e i suoi fratelli non avevano mai lasciato la loro casa e il loro cortile. Non avevano mai messo piede nel grande mondo esterno e per questo motivo abbiamo accolto 3 cuccioli molto spaventati, ansiosi e non socializzati nel nostro gruppo. 😔 Sam, Frank e Able hanno trovato tutti nuove case non molto tempo dopo il loro arrivo, ma purtroppo, dopo un certo periodo in casa sua, si è realizzato che le esigenze di Sam erano molto più grandi di quanto inizialmente previsto e ora stiamo cercando una casa per Sam più adatta alle sue esigenze. Sam è un ragazzo molto dolce. Può essere timido con le persone nuove e può abbaiare a visitatori nuovi in casa, ma si riscalda presto con tante rassicurazioni e cibo e ama molto gli abbracci e le attenzioni da parte di persone di cui si fida ed è molto affettuoso. 🥰 Ama giocare a prendere la palla e correre in campi sicuri e, come potete vedere, è anche molto bravo nel portare due palline contemporaneamente! È intelligente e impara velocemente e ora è completamente istruito in casa. 🙂 Sam ha paura di uscire di casa per una passeggiata, ma con l'aiuto di un addestratore sta facendo buoni progressi e ora può fare brevi passeggiate dalla sua casa e al parco. Idealmente, Sam vivrebbe in un'area tranquilla dove può godersi il tempo all'esterno. Può essere cauto con altri cani sconosciuti e ne è stato reattivo con alcuni, tuttavia, con l'aiuto di un addestratore sta migliorando e ora è andato in passeggiata con altri cani. Il nuovo proprietario dovrà sentirsi sicuro nel aiutare Sam a crescere nella fiducia con altri cani e avere il tempo per lavorare su questo aspetto. Sam ha precedentemente convissuto con un cane più piccolo e più vecchio, ma non erano una buona combinazione e crediamo che potrebbe beneficiare di essere l'unico cane in casa. Sam ha precedentemente vissuto con un bambino di 9 anni - si sono bene, ma la dimensione e l'energia di Sam potevano essere troppo per lui e Sam aveva difficoltà con il rumore/energia di un bambino. Sarebbe adatto meglio a una casa più calma e silenziosa senza bambini piccoli. Crediamo che Sam abbia bisogno di una casa esperta e quindi non lo riadotteremo a proprietari che non hanno mai avuto un cane prima. Prior to coming into our care, Sam and his siblings had never left their house and yard. They had never stepped out into the big wide world and as a result, we welcomed 3 very scared, anxious and un-socialised puppies into our fold. 😔 Sam, Frank and Able all found new homes not too long after arriving but sadly, after some time in his home, it was realised that Sam's needs were much greater than initially anticipated and we are now trying to find Sam a home that is better suited to his needs. Sam is a very sweet boy. He can be nervous of new people and can bark at new visitors to the house, but he soon warms to people with lots of reassurance and treats and he loves cuddles and fusses with trusted people and is very affectionate. 🥰 He loves playing fetch and running around in secure fields and, as you can see, he is also highly skilled at carrying two balls at a time! He’s smart and learns things quickly and is now fully house trained. 🙂 Sam is nervous of leaving the house for a walk but with the help of a trainer has been making good progress and can now go on short walks from his house and at the park. Ideally, Sam would live in a quiet area where he can enjoy being outdoors. He can be wary of other unknown dogs and has been reactive to some, however, with the help of a trainer this is improving and he has now been on some walks with other dogs. The new owner will need to feel confident in helping Sam to continue to grow in confidence with other dogs and who has the time to spend working on improving this. Sam previously lived with a smaller, older dog but they weren't a good match and we feel he may benefit from being an only dog in the home. Sam previously lived with a 9 year old child – they got on well but Sam’s size and energy could be a bit much and Sam struggled with the noise/energy of a child. He would be better suited to a calmer, quieter home with no young children. We feel Sam needs an experienced home and therefore we won't be rehoming him to first time dog owners. We think that in the right home, Sam will have the opportunity to grow into a calm, more confident young chap. 💙 If you are an experienced home that has what Sam needs and can offer him his chance of a happy ever after then please get in touch with us on any day between 11am – 2pm 💕
